I don't know about you but when I have some events, dates or whatsoever occasions, I always get butterflies in my stomach.
Since I am on job-hunting mode lately, these butterflies duplicate like mad! LOLX!
I figured out, I will just share some canwhore shots of myself with makeup and a little on outfit but sorry, not full outfit since my camera sucks!
I'd say, less is more when it comes to interviews.
Yes, I wore that makeup to interview last week.
Nothing very dramatic but I guess some of you would say the green lenses shouldn't even be in the picture but hey, I was interviewing at a cosmetics company so, putting my best foot forward is a must!
Here are two more pictures.
Have a green week, people!
Happy working week!

Inspired looks
I wanted to do an entry on inspirations and inspiring people initially but ended up discussing about some other stuffs. LOLX! It's okay, I will blog about that topic soon because recently, I have met a lot of inspiring people who give me a lot of hopes, motivations and inspirations.
As for today, let's talk about makeup and some of the inspired looks that I have done with only Youtube as my guide. Yeah, like it is not for everyone out there, right?
Anyway, here are two of the looks I re-created using my existing palettesbecause I am not rich enough to be getting all the exact products.
Gold, chocolate and black smokey eyes!
Inspiration - Jessica Harlow.
Here is my version - I used gold from my Naked Palette instead of bronze because I am in gold-craze mode right now. I skipped the black because black looks horrendous on me.
The brown shade on my crease is MAC Midnight Madness and honestly, I used a little of the gold shade on top of my UD's eyeshadow.
Pardon the ugly shirt tough.
The second look is something more adventurous because I experimented with my new Sigma Paris Palette.
The main reason that I have gotten this palette was because I loved the teal and bronze shades in the palette and well, it could be my favourite beauty gurus.
Rambles aside.
Inspiration - Dulce Candy.
No, she did not use the Paris Palette. I was trying to be adventurous though because I figured out the palette has all the shades except for pink. I don't have any pink shades because I don't like pink eyeshadows. I re-placed the pink eyeshadow with NYX Powder Blush in Pinky.
Adventurous, huh? Blush as eyeshadow. Oh, I topped it up with a slight coral shade from Sigma too. Here's my version.
Am considering to wear this look to BFF's wedding.
I have to wear a red dress for her wedding and bah, I don't want to do normal everyday brown look. I wanna be bold and seen during her wedding. Hahaha.
Any suggestions? Would appreciate your thoughts on what kinda eyes' make-up that would look great with a red dress.
Have a great week, people!

What are you feeling today?
Update - NYX products can now be bought at Colours Cosmetics if you are from Malaysia and Singapore!
Is it moody?
Is it happy?
Is it sad?
Is it disappointed?
Or maybe... I quote from Jackie Chan from The Tuxedo, "This is constipated look!"
LOLX!
Whatever that you are feeling today, hopefully all of you are healthy.
Today, I'm gonna be a little more lame than usual... Since our moods vary from time to time, in order to hide those mood swings, girls, we are lucky because we have lipsticks of different shades to give different moods to those who are looking at us.
I'll be showing you one pretty neutral eye make-up that will basically go with or without glasses.
It can even go with any dresses or occasions depending if you wanna dress it up or down.
What I did to the eyes was just to apply generous amount of Lancôme Hypnose Waterproof Mascara. Seriously, this mascara is GOOD! I like my Maybelline Pulse Perfection so, so much but since it is a limited edition mascara, I don't think I can get more of them. I'm almost done using my third Pulse Perfection and honestly, I am sad but well... until I discover Lancôme Hypnose Waterproof Mascara! Shall rant about it in another entry soon!
Anyway, we were talking about different lipsticks and lipglosses of different shades today. Can different lip colours give different moods?
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
First, I brushed and moisturised my lips for better and smooth application.
Then, I picked 6 of my favourite lips' products as below.
From drugstore to high-end lipsticks... I guess every girl has that, right? It's just personal preferences.
If you wanna know the names of the lipsticks, here goes...
I will list them down for you just in case you can't see it clearly in the picture above. The names of the lipsticks and lipglosses will go by number from left to right.
So, they basically go from opaque nude to nude to pink to very red.
Here are several pictures of the different lipsticks and lipglosses on my lips. Please do not quote me for anything I have mentioned above because the shades that I like may not be the same shades that you like.
Stage Wondergloss Lipgloss in Persephone is basically a red lipgloss. It is very pigmented so you might wanna go easy on it. I'd say, I love this red shade because it is suitable for dinners, glamorous events or even well, Christmas! Have I told you how much I love Christmas? MOOD - ROMANTIC.
NYX Round Lipgloss in Ballerina Pink is basically near to the shocking shade of pink if you look at it from the packaging but once applied on your lips, it gives you the girl-next-door look. Seriously, you can never go wrong with this shade. I'd say it is suitable for your girls' day out with your best girlfriends MOOD - SWEET.
NYX Round Lipgloss in Whipped is kinda a peachy nude shade which goes really well with smokey eyes. If you wanna play it down, it goes well with neutral eyes. The shade doesn't show up much but it does give you a more plumped lips in pictures and all. Well, this shade is pretty much wearable to all the occasions without have you screaming, "Look at me!" MOOD - LAY-BACK.
NYX Round Lipstick in Honey is well... you can see in the picture - opaque nude which may turn out looking scary especially if you have darker skin tone. It looks scary even on my skin tone. I don't think this is the shade you should be wearing on it's own. Instead, it would be better if you wear it with a pinkish lipgloss or if you wanna neutralize your lips' colours, try this shade, then, apply another lipstick on the top! MOOD - NEUTRAL.
Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge in #6 is a free gift I've gotten when I purchased my Lancôme Hypnose Waterproof Mascara. This lipstick is one of the best long-lasting lipstick ever! I wore it for an interview the other day at Singapore, in which, I sweated terribly because I was wearing high heels and my blazer while walking under the sun. The shade is something like rosey pink and it is quite neutral. You cannot go wrong with this shade too - formal occasions, dinners, celebrations or simply anything! This is a go-to lipstick for me! MOOD - HAPPY.
Christian Dior Voyage Collection Lipstick in #255 is a gift from my aunt few years back and yeah, I know it is yucky but well... it smells good and why waste if it's still in good condition? Initially, I was feeling so sad that I had to use it because I know for sure I won't be able to get more of these babies since they are limited edition. This shade is something like sweet baby pink and if you're into all cutesy stuffs, this may be the shade for you! It goes well with any eye make-up giving it a touch of sweetness and demureness. LOLX! MOOD - INNOCENT.
So, what do you think?
Do all the different shades of lipsticks you have give different moods for different occasions?
Sorry, no picture of constipated look though!
TGIF, people!
Is it moody?

Back to Black
I can't believe it's already June and June has to be the most-est terrible month of the year. You'll know why when you've gotta fork out your savings for two birthdays in the family. LOLX! My savings may be dry but then again, that means family gathering twice in a month.
If that is so, I guess I just have to save more this month. That probably means having to finish up existing products and contemplate whether I need to buy more of certain stuffs. Yeah, that is my life for you if you don't know yet. Either way, I kinda am proud of myself that I've finished up certain products and here you go, a few pictures to share - EMPTIES OF MAY 2012!
I've always adore hair products with nice fragrances and these would be my all time favourite but I don't think I will be going back to get them because I still have quite a lot of products in hand.
As for skincare products, these products are okay but well... I guess we all have our high and low end products, right?
I like toners with a little bit of astringent so... Eskinol is my all-time favourite toner. Not only it is super affordable but it is very refreshing especially if you have combination to oily skin.
I guess I've passed my own test of finishing-what-I-have-in-hand project.
Anyway, let's proceed to the title 'Back to Black.'
If you guys are aware of it, I'm sure you know it is a song from the late Amy Winehouse. No, you have no idea of who Amy Winehouse is?
Amy is well-known for her super-thick cat-eyed liner.
Actually, I did not get to know Amy until probably... when she passed away last year? LOLX! I know, I know, I was not being ignorant but again, I was really busy with my thesis and also work back then. So throughout the period she was actively singing and battling drugs, I was busying digging into my world of thesis-ism. How ironic, right?
Since I was too bored last week, I tried to re-create her super thick cat-eyed liner look.
It was purely a pain in the arse because I thought her cat-eyed liner would be easy to draw but I was so damn wrong because I can't pull that kinda look at all.
Amy is all out on black eyeliner. I figured out black would look too harsh on me so, I ended up using a brown liquid eyeliner instead.
I really tried hard to create the curvacious cat-eyed look but darn, I failed because when I opened my eyes, it didn't look anything close to Amy's look.
Nevertheless, at least I've tried... it is all about efforts! LOLX!
I also tried to create the sky-high and thick bouffant on Amy's signature look.
I did not own any wigs or puffy material to slip under my hair so, I had to depend on a lot of bobby pins and also hair spray to keep the bouffant puffy and high.
Removing the bobby pins afterwards was a hideous process!
This is the end result of the eyeliner and also, a fake piercing towards the left side of my cupid's bow.
This look can never be complete without Amy's signature cigarette on hand. Since I do not smoke, I had to replace the cigar with my Empro eyebrow pencil.
Somehow, Isabel noticed that. LOLX!
I'm gonna end my entry here so, for those of you who are working, happy work week, people!

iEnhancer Colour Lenses
I started wearing contact lenses since I was 16 due to influences from friends - well, which girl doesn't wanna look pretty, right?
Back then, we were not allowed to wear colour lenses to school, hence, I've never even thought of wearing colour lenses until late 2008, I started wearing them. My first pair of colour lenses were from Freshkon. Dad bought them for me with the thought, "These lenses are gonna make your eyes POP!"

I know, my dad is cute, right?
Then, afterwards, I started testing out with Freshlook's colour lenses because I thought black looked atrocious on me - it made me look like the girl without eyes!

I don't know about others but I found out these Freshlook lenses don't do justice to me at all because at 14mm worth of diameter, the sides of my pupils can still be seen. Well, no black rims at the edge to hide the side of my pupils too... Hence, I could almost deduce that the diameter of my pupils should be more than 14mm!
Okay, I was just being ironic.
Anyway, I discovered Geo Angel and Nudy Lenses in 2009 and managed to try out several different colours, namely purple, grey, blue and brown.

Among all the different colours of the lenses that I've tried, I'd say I still prefer grey at the end of the day because grey always make the eyes look mysterious and mystical! So, when Geo came out with their Super Angel range that has the diameter of 16mm, I was determined to try it out!

I know, crazy, right? I think I'd still prefer the normal Geo range instead of Super Angel range. I'm not so much fan of comic-y and cartoon-y eyes person.
I guess I'm a late bloomer in colour lenses.
Last December, when I was passing by an optical store back in my hometown with BFF, I kinda saw they were having promotion for colour lenses. Ecstatic, I rushed into the store with BFF and stupid sister! We were introduced to iEnhancer.
Honestly, I've never heard of it before but I'm more than willing to try since they were having promotion of buy 4 for RM100 only - monthly disposable, of course!
I got myself a pair of it in purple while stupid sister and BFF ended up with one and three pairs respectively. RM100 was worth it!
I didn't get to use these lenses until yesterday after I've thrown away my 6 months old Geo Angel Grey, I finally am using iEnhancer.

Packaging is pretty neat I'd say. Compact, small and cute - you can slip it easily into your handbag without worries of breaking the glasses just like what other cosmetic lenses' packaging that comes in glass jars.

I don't remember why I opted for purple instead of grey but I thought purple looked nice in the advertisement. Mum did ask me, "Why did you choose purple? You're gonna end up looking like a vampire!"
Vampire is good, imagine Edward Cullen! Hahahaha... Please don't freak out at the pictures you're going to see after this - you're gonna see yours truly without a single makeup on - naked face!

I've often heard people commenting, "If you're wearing colour lenses, please put on a little makeup, or else you're gonna end up looking more atrocious than you are before!"
Indeed, there's truth in that saying! Well, let's just say, I skipped making up because I went for a little makeover at Stage Pavilion.

Now, here comes the review part... behold ladies and gentlemen!
I had such high hope on these lenses initially but alas... honestly, I was a little disappointed. Lemme show you a picture...

Can you spot the difference exception for noticing one side of the eye is brown while the other side is purple?
Seriously, the difference isn't obvious enough to be noticeable because at only 14mm and even with side black rims, the enlarging effect isn't at all that great.
As much as I like purple lenses, I find iEnhancer's purple to be too striking on my eyes. The purple really made my eyes pop, thus, instead of making the eyes sexy and demure, gosh... I think I ended up looking like a goth! FML!
As of wearability, I wouldn't say these lenses are very comfortable. Maybe it's just me but these lenses felt quite dry in my eyes even after 2 to 3 hours of wearing. I kept on complaining to stupid sister regarding that issue! Please bear in mind what that may not work for me, may or may not work for you, hence you've gotta try it out yourself to know the effectiveness of the product on you.
Product - 2 out of 5
Packaging - 4 out of 5
Availability - Optical Stores
Re-purchase - No
Oh, one more thing, I'm not so sure about the availability throughout Malaysia but I remember passing by one of the optical stores in 1 Utama and did notice they're selling iEnhancer at RM40 per pair.
** Product is bought using my own moo-lah, I am not sponsored or anything.

Are you CLEAN?
Before you jump right into conclusion of what I am about to tell you, first and foremost, please go and brainwash yourself - as in literally, run cold water into your brain to freeze it so that your mind will not wander elsewhere. LOLX!
So, ladies, lemme ask you again, "Are you clean? Are you sure you're REALLY clean?"
I don't know about you but quite some time back, I was reading an article online where they discussed about exfoliation. Yes, no mistake, exfoliation, where you have to exfoliate especially during that time of the month since a lot of dead skin cells will be stuck to you for a week or so.
Eeeww... imagine dead cells on yourself - yucks!
This doesn't apply to your body only, it also applies on your face, in which, it means you have gotta change your skincare routine a bit - exfoliate!
The product I've chosen for exfoliationdarn, now you know my dai yee ma is visiting! is Etude House Magic Bubble Peeling.

Reasons are simple. First, I got it at 50% discount and secondly, this thing is really gentle! Ah, it smells like vanilla ice-cream too, in which, I loike!!!
Did I tell you not? I love McD's sundae, so... I love vanilla, hence this thing smells great for me!

Are you wondering if this mousse thingy is gonna work?
Honestly, I was as skeptical as you are when I bought this product but I've decided to give it a try at only RM21. No complain or anything since RM21 is kinda affordable for a pokai student cum part-timer like me.
Okay, now, Imma gonna show you my naked and ugly face - don't tell me I've never shown my naked face to you because I'm a girl without a REAL face since I'm always found with makeup on!

I kinda like the foamy feel on my skin. LOLX! Yes, honestly, it does feel so gentle that I feel like pumping more and more product to slap on my face. Imma lovin' it, no joke and no play-play!
Okay, now comes the end products - the dead skin cells on my naked-makeup-removed-ugly face!

I'm sorry if I eew-ed and yuck-ed you - I was just trying to show you this gentle foamy thing does work in the exfoliation process.
Yes, the girl without a face is exfoliating so that she can look hotter! Hahahahaha! I like the phrase, "the girl without a face."
Personally, for me, as long as a facial product works, I'll continue using and will consider re-buying. I don't complain a lot but perhaps for this product, if it doesn't come at 50% discount, I won't be going back to get it since I'd say exfoliation products that go beyond RM40 is steep.
Price - RM21 after 50% discount
Product - 3.5 out of 5
Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - Etude House
Re-purchase - Most probably if there are more sales
So, after exfoliating, here comes one of the most essential regimes in skincare - facial mask!
I am in love with My Beauty Diary masks! All of them smell so, so good, almost edible! LOLX!
So, victim of the day is...

MBD Black Pearl Mask!
I'm not sure but stupid sister told me this mask is meant for whitening and maybe for ageing skin like mine. Okay, I don't age gracefully, at least I am honest.

I love the texture of the mask and comparing this to Etude House's masks that I've used, the essence is slightly thicker and well... it does absorb well, so, don't worry. Close your eyes for a good 15 minutes, sit back and relax - you'll realize absorption is a breeze!
As far as whitening goes, I am not sure since I'm not really into whitening range. I'll let you all know if it works, okies?
Price - RM2.80 since I got it at IBE at RM28 for10 pieces
Product - 3 out of 5
Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - Guardian, Watson
Re-purchase - Most probably
I'm done with reviews, hence... here comes photos of the day after exfoliation and of course, facial mask!

Oh, I love this hairstyle. I love how it could just be paired with any outfits and still, you'll never fail to look classy. No, I am not implying I am classy but I am implying that I am elegant! Hahahaha... Yes, I'm blowing my own trumpet so, if you can't stand it, scram as far as you could because I hate pretenders and I hate liars and jerks!

LOLX!!! I just realize my bra straps are peeking through but nevertheless, that isn't a big deal. In this case, just pretend like you don't see it.

The product I've chosen for exfoliation

Well, well, well... I totally enjoy doing tag questions. Hahaha... Gonna dig out more tag questions and post them here as soon as I'm free-er. I still have tons of things to do as of now. Darn... Life's complicated and shitty.
Stay happy and healthy and hilarious so that everyone will love ya!

Plummy RED Lips
I have often wondered in the past, "Do red lips look good on me?"

I never even bothered to try out red lips in the past because I'm more towards a nude or pink colours person and I adore the little touch of shimmer on my lips. Red is never in my dictionary for lipstick.

Furthermore, the idea of having bright red lips makes me cringe because I don't want to look like a clown since I hate clowns. I have clown-phobia because I grew up being scared by the movies of clown killers!

Even so, I still awe at girls who can pull off RED lips very well because red lips for me, means sexy, classic and elegant! Imagine pairing your classic smokey eyes with red lips and then, to have a little black dress to go with it. I'm sure you'll be making a statement among the crowds.

Thus, when I've gotten my RED lipstick just recently, I was so ecstatic to try it out! I slapped it on my lips and initially, it stained my teeth and I'm sure none of us want that especially during dates, right? So, if you're wearing red lipstick or lipgloss, please be extra careful not to stain your teeth. You might just scare your date off!
From what I know, you've gotta line your lips with red lip liner, apply your red lipstick and then, finishing it off with your red lipgloss for that shiny Jessica Rabbit inspired lips! Since I'm too lazy to go through all the steps... Here's a picture for you to savour!

Of course, it's me, yours truly with plummy red lipgloss called Perfect Plum from Suncoat, Canada. Guess I really do like this lipgloss after all. The pigmentation for this particular shade is crazy!
Sorry about my pale face without foundation or concealer. I know, I know, my dark circles are horrendous!
TGIF and have a great weekend!

Benefit Cosmetics Workshop
Right, everyone knows I'm idiots over FREE stuffs! I mean, which one of you out there doesn't love FREE stuffs, right? Free is always the best word in my dictionary although I'm aware that there's no free lunch in this world. Anyway, there are always exceptions.
Last weekend, yes, my birthday weekend, Benefit Cosmetics offered a FREE workshop for 24 lucky girls who called for reservations at Pavilion, KL. I'm glad I was one of the fastest. Hahaha... When it comes to FREE stuffs, I can be damn semangat, okay?
Guess what? FREE cupcakes!

Stupid sister was damn ecstatic about the whole idea of going to the workshop and when she saw the free cupcakes, she went wild. She asked, "Eh, can tapao or not?"
See what I mean?

The workshop was led by Amy. Well, I don't really know her but she introduced herself as Amy and she's really pretty and classy - very down-to-earth and funny person! Other than Amy, all BAs at Benefit Counter, Pavilion were so friendly!
They really took their time to teach all the participants about the right methods to apply makeup. Other than makeup, we were taught on how to apply skincare products as well. Ah, that's a bonus for me!
I have to admit I'm like thousand of other girls out there. When Benefit Cosmetics first launched in Malaysia, I fell in love with the packaging - super cute and chio!
My first Benefit product that was given to me by my aunt was one of the fragrances called Magic or whatsoever. I can't find it in the website any longer. I remember how much I loved the scent but too bad I can't stock up, hence, from Benefit, I switched to Burberry Fragrances.
Anyway, to cut the long story short, here are the products that all of us tested during the workshop and I've just gotta admit that I love some of the products!

So, among all the products, I'd say I'm super duper in love with two of them - Benetint and also The POREfessional.
The POREfessional is AMAZING, yes, SIMPLY AMAZING, especially to those of you who wants to hide or blur out your open pores so that foundation can glide on your skin easily and smoothly. The end result with this primer is just like MAGIC. I've already put it in my HG list and the price is RM120.
As for Benetint, we all know that it is a lip and cheek tint. Well, it works great on the cheeks but I'm not sure how it'll look on the lips because I love it on my cheeks, that's all. Surely one of my to-go products! Not sure of the price of this one though because I bought it several years back and when I re-used it again, I realized I'm still loving it.
On the whole, boi-ing isn't too bad too but it's so, so, so creamy that a little goes a long way but I was silly enough to dip the whole brush into the concealer thinking, "Darn, this concealer looks so dry!" Hence, I ended up with the whole brush full of concealer. Laugh all you want at my blurriness.
I guess for concealer, I still prefer my Stage's.
So, this is the finished look that we were taught to create - natural and chic.

It might seems like I don't have any eyeshadows on but yes, I had two colours on my lids and also eyeliner! Anyway, it doesn't really matter.
Thank you, Benefit Cosmetics, Malaysia, for offering FREE workshops! Thank you to Amy and team for their patience!
Let's go back to The POREfessional since I absolutely love this product. I've good intention to go back and get a tube but RM120 is a total ripoff. Then again, I have RM50 voucher. So, should I get or not?

The best thing about this product for me is that it really makes my pores smaller and my skin looks even. At the same time, it decreases the wrinkles on my expression lines. Yes, no jokes! You can almost see the effect immediately after application!
Thus, I want, I want, I want, I want, I want The POREfessional!

Another great point is that it lasts the whole day! True, true, no bluffing! I applied it during the workshop and okay, the eyeshadows and concealer kinda worn off after 8 hours or so but the foundation still stayed on - pores were still invisible even when I went out at night!

A picture paints a thousand words! What I did was just to touch up my eyeshadows using Shiseido's palette, a little bit of my Stage concealer with Milani Luminous for a glamorous shine on my cheeks and also re-apply my favourite NYX Lip Lacquer Pot in Sweet Pea - voila, done!
Another close-up picture for you!

Alright, that was me - heading out for my final date during my birthday weekend. Lucky guy friend got all the attention because I was dressed to kill! LOLX! I mean, I was supposed to get the attention since it was my birthday, right? Hahaha... We went to this Japanese Fine Dining Restaurant at Bangsar Village and super enjoyed my meal!
Okay, enough of it... Gonna end this entry with one very bimbotic picture!

Have a wonderful week ahead, people!
