Blessed birthday, Angel

Before my birthday month comes to an end, I figure out, I should be doing this entry because this year's birthday was a blast!

I totally didn't see it coming at all - thank you to all the wonderful people around me. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one this year! Thank you for reminding how blessed my life is having all of you next to me.

My birthday this year was a week-long celebration!

So, the first ever celebration was truly a surprise. Well... I was pretty much taken aback by the plan... I didn't know my BEE students would plan a trip to the much anticipated beach, Belawai.

Plus, getting a cake, secretly praying that the cake wouldn't melt because there is no fridge in the hostel. Seriously, I was so, so speechless when I saw the cake... I almost teared up...

These people even took a quite embarrassing video of me...

Thank you, you guys - I seriously wept silently because I was touched but I was too ego to show you all my tears.

The celebration continues with yet another surprise planned by the sisters.

And thank you to my personal angel, the hubs, for the two-tiered birthday cakes... even though I did smell something fishy but you totally caught me off guard the cakes! Again, I was ready to cry...

Thank you to the best hubs ever... I owe you one and hopefully you can claim it back some day in future. Well, I may forget though...

At the same time, food was great!

However, the most touching scene would be to see all my students from different programmes coming together to celebrate my birthday.

Thank for making my day as well as making me feeling I'm the most lucky person on Earth.

Something extra the next day - a birthday mug cake from dear Justina...

I seriously enjoyed the mug cake so, so much!

During the last day of my service, some of my colleagues surprised me with a birthday cake! Well, I wasn't really expected that from them at all.

Thank you, all of you wonderful people!

On the very same day, four more BBA students showed up in my office with another surprise! How thoughtful of them!

I'm happy but at the same time upset - I know I am going to miss these wonderful people so, so much!

Next up was another birthday celebration with my fellow students whom I have taught from their foundation year to their degree years.

I can't express my heartfelt gratitude to know all of you. You guys are just like the little brothers and sisters that I never have.

On the actual birthday, I celebrated the day with my best girlfriends and sister.

We went over to Penthouse Cafe & Bar by Kingwood Hotel.

Food wasn't that great but prices are at a whooping whoooooosssshh!

We didn't really mind much of the prices but for the quality of the food and services we got, it wasn't worth it.

However, having my girlfriends celebrating the day with me - worth it!

The following day, went out with Mr. C for birthday dinner at Cafe Cafe.

Cafe Cafe has to be my all time favourite restaurant - food, price and service were great!

Not forgetting, the Apple Crumble was really, really awesome too!

The next celebration was with Su Ting at The Coffee Code - my favourite hangout because of the yummy waffles!

Su Ting ordered my favourite Black Code Waffle and even the co-owner of cafe, Lydia, made a special appearance during our photo-taking session.

Thank you, my dear!

The following celebration was with Hwa and Tyng at La Vino.

All the dishes were great but when I saw Hwa chomping own on the 70% raw lamb, I was a little terrified because aside from raw Salmon, I don't take any other raw food.

Well, Hwa said it was nice though.

We ended our day at Wikitea but I was too full to even order any drink...

Hwa was being unfair - he ordered his drink and he had somebody to share the drink with.

Seriously, I did enjoy myself so, so much being with the siblings!

Next day, finally, met up with my then, current batch of foundation students for a simple birthday cum farewell lunch...

Crapped too much during the gathering and suddenly, I had the feeling that soon, I would be missing this bunch of noisy kids.

The next day - it was the day I leave a place I call home, for good. It was quite an emo day because all that had been whirling in my mind - the hubs. I was a little heavy-hearted to leave him behind but there wasn't much I could do.

Once I got to KL, my BFF called me out for a belated birthday celebration at Tony Roma's.

Dinner was okay but again, it was the company that matters.

My third day back in KL, the brother took me out for another belated birthday lunch.

I know what some of you may be thinking.

I have to admit, I am getting older and quite honestly, I do not want to be 30 but time and tide wait for no man... here I am, happy 30th birthday to me.

Loved the Spaghetti Aglio Olio. It was something different from what I usually had - meat, meat, meat and more meat! It was kinda refreshing!

The last birthday celebration for 2015 ended with a dinner date with Mr. Ho.

I seriously enjoyed his company and of course my plate of Deconstructed Beef Salad so, so much!

Once again, thank you to all of you out there for making me feel warm and thankful that I am still alive in the wonderful world.

Happy 30th birthday to me, myself and I... hopefully I would stay healthy, happy, pretty and sexy all year round!

More insta-updates

I am really hooked to instagram!

So, is it good or bad?

Anyway, it's time for more insta-updates! Yay!

To start off my first week returning to KL, I had been really caught up with a lot of things, especially some important stuffs at the university since, you know, it was graduation time of the year... so, I basically had been busy running around my university to pick up my attire and also to book the photo studio for family pictures.

It was really crazy and I was handed the wrong colour of hood for my attire. Whatever it was, I wasted 2 days worrying for nothing. Yeah, all hail UM, a university like no others!

We all attended my graduation and luckily for me, Chee Leong was there to put on the robe for me or I could die because I didn't know how to properly put it on - it was too troublesome! Bad thing - I missed taking picture with him because we were somehow separated after the ceremony because there were just too many people around and I was pushed and squeezed out of the hall.

Other than my graduation, little cousin and his brother came to KL with their parents for a formal function. He was very happy that finally could try out Chatime!

LOLX! He was laughing and smiling so hard that you all could see his nostrils! Hahahaha! Okay, I think he is going to devour me for posting this picture.

We also celebrated uncle's birthday together!

It was an awesome dinner and catch-up since I haven't meet my uncle and aunt for almost 2.5 years! My, my, my, how time flies!

Then, courtesy of my brother, we dined at SWINE, Publika!

Warning - non-halal food below...

Dinner was awesome! The atmosphere was great and hopefully I'll be going back there again with my parents when I've gotten my first month salary. Hahaha...

Food is bad - if you're on diet or if you're trying to lose weight. LOLX!

If you don't trust me - look at the pork ribs below!

Sizzling hot and oh, wow... I miss those juicy pork ribs!

On another account, we have been out for several food adventures! During my parent's visit, big brother took us for la mien and xiao long bao dinner at The Curve. I kinda forgot the name of the restaurant.

Looks like I would have a lot of follow-up diets after all those food hunts.

Life totally sucks if I were to go on diet.

So, my resolution for losing weight - eat healthy. Well, that means less oil, less salt, less sauce and if possible cut down on carbohydrate intake. Therefore, I told myself, starting this week, I would be on one-piece tortilla wrap with lean meat and a lot of vegetables for breakfast and lunch.

As for dinner, well... I know it is hard but I will persevere - skipping dinner and taking protein shake.

Before that, I've gotta go for my favourite Korean food.

So much of dieting, right?

Don't worry, don't worry, I promise it will be good! Hahaha!

Oh, right, I've gotten myself a new train case. It is exactly like the one that was stolen when I was back at my hometown. This time around, I saw a pink case and fell in love so, I brought it home with me.

Initially, I planned on getting a nicer one but then again, due to insufficient budget and also I didn't know where to get those fancy ones, I had less choices. In the end, there goes my choice - same one but of different colour.

Well, I like it pink!

Okay, enough of shopping-ramble.

I sent my parents and sister off last week and now, my stupid sister is officially back to our hometown for good. Yeah, as in, she might not be coming to KL or maybe she might or she would be going to Singapore.

Although we do quarrel and argue from time to time but I am missing her company already. It is really good to have a sister around if you need company and I seldom say this but, I am lucky to have a mischievous, silly and supportive sister.

Well... it does seem a little quiet without her around.

Ah, I guess camwhoring will help a bit.

No make-up, no filter, no photoshop, no anything.

Good?

By the way, I went shopping alone yesterday and saw some nice peplum dresses on sales at only RM30 per piece at Cotton On. I fell in love and decided I should have one of them.

Problem is, I don't really like sleeveless dresses or tops because I just don't wear them on whatever occasions. I would want to alter them but I don't want to spend additional bucks on altering it since it's only RM30 only.

Halloween is just around the corner and since I was too free, I attempted an Angelina Jolie look.

Cat-eyes, thick lips, straight and sharp nose - I have none of the traits so, I have to depend on make-up to create the look.

I cannot stop awing at the fact make-up does wonder - bronzers, eyeliners, lip liners, coloured lenses, concealers, highlighters, bla, bla, bla...

After trying so hard for almost an hour, I finally came to a halt - I gave up... I would never be able to imitate Angelina Jolie's look.

Best part - piling on the make-up.

Hence, explains the duck face above.

LOLX!

Anyway, to divert your attention - here is a picture of my love!

Awww... I have him held in a personal prison because he is just too cute!

Say hello to Chris Dinh - my dream guy!

Have a wonderful week, people!

My wonderful life

Hi, people! Hopefully all of you are doing real great.

I haven't been doing much updates lately on what I've been doing with my life. I mean, I do update but those are scheduled updates because the internet at my hometown is such a disappointment that it keeps on disconnecting in the mid of surfing.

It gets pretty agitated especially when you have to restart your modem more than 10 times a day. Whatever that is, I'm gonna do a really simple update of what I've been doing lately.

If you don't know what, I have been really active on Instagram and it's crazy. I'm hooked to it and I pretty much took a lot of pictures of almost everything via Instagram.

Anyway, I finally get to do my hair after 3 long years of keeping it untouched.

I am a little anal about the whole hairdressing issue because previously, I went through an unforgettable experience of having the hairstylist cutting my wrongly!

It was really horrible because I had to keep that ugly hair for half year before I could do anything to it. The length was terrible and the haircut was probably the ugliest haircut anyone could ever seen. Initially, I wanted an A-line bob cut and the stupid hairdresser actually went ahead and cut my hair the other way round.

The result was something like this...

Imagine keeping that idiotic looking hair because of the hairdresser's slow brain that cannot fathom what I want! Indeed, it was first world's pain. I had to go back to the salon two days later to have the entire length cut off and stuck with freaking short hair for a year!

After that, I told myself, "No more hair-styling, especially in Ampang!"

LOLX!

Since then, I never styled my hair at any salons at KL or PJ any longer exception for my bangs and fringe that always get in the way.

Anyway, I contemplated whether or not I should chop off my long hair but in the end, I chickened out and told my hair dresser, who happened to be my cousin, not to chop off my mane because I super love the length of my hair. She suggested that I should get rid of my ombre hair because I haven't been dyeing my hair for 3 years as well. Well... I spent like an hour or so trying to get rid of my ombre hair.

I chose a colour that is a little lighter than dark brown because I am not a brunette. LOLX! Here's the end result!

Okay, my hair still looks a little ombre-ish in the picture but believe me, it is not ombre at all in real life.

Enough story about my hair.

The other day when I was ransacking my mum's wardrobe, I found one lipstick that I thought I may like. I ended up loving it instead.

It is something fuchsia. I have never tried any fuchsia lipstick before and guess what, I think I love it now. So, I begged mum to give it to me and she agreed.

I shall do a separate entry on the lipstick later on.

Here's another picture of me with the lipstick on - no filler, no photo-shop or anything.

Grrr... my life has been ever so wonderful lately - waking up at 6am every day for my morning jog and ending my day with another round of jog at 5.30pm daily.

I told my friends Imma gonna die by the time I get back to KL.

Oh, by the way, I plucked these flowers from the backyard of my neighborhood this morning.

Aren't they beautiful?

Sighs... I miss my honey-bear so, so much...
