Gold and loving it!

It honestly feels so dang long since I last dolled myself up... Guess the last time when I really applied full makeup was when I went out with Mr. Dimples... err... probably more than a month ago, I think. Ah... my makeup skills are getting pretty rusty these days.

It's Deepavali today and I am left stranded at home because stupid sister is working and I have got no partner-in-crime to hang out with, hence, if I should be alone, I will make it an effort to doll myself up before I go out.

*clears throat and sings Mr. Lonely*

I have decided to go Gold and dark brown today and this is the result close up.

Can you see, can you see? I think my lashes look atrocious after using Maybelline Lash Stilettos! I should stick to Maybelline Pulse Perfection instead. No more being adventurous with mascaras because I don't fancy the Lash Stilettos since they fall like mad!

I tried keeping the products minimal so that if I ever go outstation and wanna recreate this look, I don't need to bring a lot of essentials with me.

Well, I am the queen of bringing nonsense when I go traveling and I'm sure you can't beat me to it. I always end up having additional hand-carry luggage for my makeup products - you see what I mean, right?

So, this time around, I kept the products minimal just so it would simplify my traveling life since I do travel quite often due to having a family that is quite far away and each trip back home will usually leave me pokai and have to ikat perut for a while after that. Hahahaha.

Okay, here's a list of products that I've used to create this simple gold and brown look. I've skipped foundation and also loose powder because my complexion is so dang terrible lately, hence, I should avoid full-face makeup for the time being.

Stage Eyeshadow Primer

I'm sure you wouldn't want your eyeshadow to glide and wear off in the mid of something. Worse still, if your eyeshadow creases, that's the end of story! Hahaha... This works amazing especially on oily eyelids - at least it works great for me. 10 hours of wearing it and not even a slight creasing!

S109N Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit

I haven't been using this kit for God-knows-how-long! So, to make things easier, I've labeled which shade to go first, next and so on if you're interested. Hey, it isn't so hard, right? You need to do quite a lot of blending, that's all.

NYX The Ultimate Pearl Shadow in White Pearl

I've used this eyeshadow not for the eyes instead, I used it to highlight the bridge of my nose and also to enhance my features.

Essence Matt Bronzing Powder

Well, you know this is your shading and touching up your features so that your face will look smaller and slimmer and yada, yada, yada.

NYX Powder Blush in Angel

I love, love this powder blush so much that I've used one third of it. The picture above was taken when I first bought it, so, don't judge a book by it's cover. I'm just purely lazy to re-take the picture, that's all.

Essence Lipliner in Nude Coral

Super smooth and pigmented but doesn't last long but hey... that doesn't matter just as long as it's affordable and it fits into everyday look!

Essence Lipstick in Frosted

Well... I basically love all the lipsticks I've gotten from Essence and this one goes extremely well with Nude Coral! Recommended!

Empro Eyebrow Pencil

Like I said, I'm almost done with my second pencil and I will be using my third one soon!

Well, well, well... I've spent some time finding pictures for you guys to look at so, remember to thank me for the effort, okay? LOLX! Okay, I was joking.

Anyway, before I go, here are the final two camwhoring pictures!

~ I am the girl next door ~

~ Ouch, flash photography hurts my eyes! ~

Hahaha... having enough of me yet?

Tata, peeps and Happy Deepavali to all those who are celebrating and to those who are having their day-off, Happy Holiday!

Are you CLEAN?

Before you jump right into conclusion of what I am about to tell you, first and foremost, please go and brainwash yourself - as in literally, run cold water into your brain to freeze it so that your mind will not wander elsewhere. LOLX!

So, ladies, lemme ask you again, "Are you clean? Are you sure you're REALLY clean?"

I don't know about you but quite some time back, I was reading an article online where they discussed about exfoliation. Yes, no mistake, exfoliation, where you have to exfoliate especially during that time of the month since a lot of dead skin cells will be stuck to you for a week or so.

Eeeww... imagine dead cells on yourself - yucks!

This doesn't apply to your body only, it also applies on your face, in which, it means you have gotta change your skincare routine a bit - exfoliate!

The product I've chosen for exfoliation darn, now you know my dai yee ma is visiting! is Etude House Magic Bubble Peeling.

Reasons are simple. First, I got it at 50% discount and secondly, this thing is really gentle! Ah, it smells like vanilla ice-cream too, in which, I loike!!!

Did I tell you not? I love McD's sundae, so... I love vanilla, hence this thing smells great for me!

Are you wondering if this mousse thingy is gonna work?

Honestly, I was as skeptical as you are when I bought this product but I've decided to give it a try at only RM21. No complain or anything since RM21 is kinda affordable for a pokai student cum part-timer like me.

Okay, now, Imma gonna show you my naked and ugly face - don't tell me I've never shown my naked face to you because I'm a girl without a REAL face since I'm always found with makeup on!

I kinda like the foamy feel on my skin. LOLX! Yes, honestly, it does feel so gentle that I feel like pumping more and more product to slap on my face. Imma lovin' it, no joke and no play-play!

Okay, now comes the end products - the dead skin cells on my naked-makeup-removed-ugly face!

I'm sorry if I eew-ed and yuck-ed you - I was just trying to show you this gentle foamy thing does work in the exfoliation process.

Yes, the girl without a face is exfoliating so that she can look hotter! Hahahahaha! I like the phrase, "the girl without a face."

Personally, for me, as long as a facial product works, I'll continue using and will consider re-buying. I don't complain a lot but perhaps for this product, if it doesn't come at 50% discount, I won't be going back to get it since I'd say exfoliation products that go beyond RM40 is steep.

Price - RM21 after 50% discount
Product - 3.5 out of 5
Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - Etude House
Re-purchase - Most probably if there are more sales

So, after exfoliating, here comes one of the most essential regimes in skincare - facial mask!

I am in love with My Beauty Diary masks! All of them smell so, so good, almost edible! LOLX!

So, victim of the day is...

MBD Black Pearl Mask!

I'm not sure but stupid sister told me this mask is meant for whitening and maybe for ageing skin like mine. Okay, I don't age gracefully, at least I am honest.

I love the texture of the mask and comparing this to Etude House's masks that I've used, the essence is slightly thicker and well... it does absorb well, so, don't worry. Close your eyes for a good 15 minutes, sit back and relax - you'll realize absorption is a breeze!

As far as whitening goes, I am not sure since I'm not really into whitening range. I'll let you all know if it works, okies?

Price - RM2.80 since I got it at IBE at RM28 for10 pieces
Product - 3 out of 5
Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - Guardian, Watson
Re-purchase - Most probably

I'm done with reviews, hence... here comes photos of the day after exfoliation and of course, facial mask!

Oh, I love this hairstyle. I love how it could just be paired with any outfits and still, you'll never fail to look classy. No, I am not implying I am classy but I am implying that I am elegant! Hahahaha... Yes, I'm blowing my own trumpet so, if you can't stand it, scram as far as you could because I hate pretenders and I hate liars and jerks!

LOLX!!! I just realize my bra straps are peeking through but nevertheless, that isn't a big deal. In this case, just pretend like you don't see it.

Let's get all lippie!

I've been having this sudden excitement about finding a HG lip tint lately. I adore people with naturally born with rosy complexion that really makes their pink cheeks stand out even more but I do realize I don't have that gift and for sure, there'll be a product out there that'll make my lips shine through!

Well, I am right!

No, I don't really fancy Posietint after which I've used it for quite some time. As of Benetint, erm... I don't think I can afford to use it on everyday basis since the price of it doesn't come cheap.

So, I've discovered this!

55 Kissful Tint Chou from Etude House! Love, love, love, love, love!

Although this is not a multipurpose tint like Posietint or Benetint, still, I'm digging it! Yes, so, so digging it that I went back to Etude House and bought all the shades available!

Can you see how pigmented the tint is? OMG... This shade is #3, well... since I can't read Korean, I have to depend on the numbering. LOLX! I kid you not when I'm talking about how pigmented the product is!

Just look at my ring finger after application! The picture was taken after one hour of application and the pigmentation was still stuck on my ring finger!

I kept on checking the tint on my lips for it's lasting ability and guess what... it stayed there for around 3 to 4 hours before lunch.

After lunch, the tint did come off a little but you could still see a pigmentation at the side of cupid's bow. Hmmm... I'm not sure why but altogether, for only RM22.90, I can't complain much, right? More over, I got it at 50% discount, so, it means I bought it at RM11.45 only.

This tint does come with a little cherry scent with it. Hence, if you can't stand the smell of cherries, well... perhaps, this tint is not for you but I love anything that comes with nice flowery or fruity scent. Hence, it's a plus point for me.

The only thing that I don't think about it is that... the packaging. I'd prefer a similar packaging like Benefit's Posietint or Benetint - with a brush or sponge applicator instead of in tube but, that will not stop me from purchasing it in future since it's no big deal.

One final LOTD before this entry ends...

Bedroom Eyes

I am always into sexy eyes and gosh, I really do adore bedroom sexy look!

So, when I was going through Julie's videos, I was determined to re-create this look that she's created for V-Day last year.

I don't own all the products she has but I tried replacing them with the closest colours and shades that are in my possession.

As the result, I've forgotten to take pictures of the products I've used to create my version of sexy bedroom eyes. Anyway, I'll just list down whatever I've used. Oh, by the way, I totally skipped foundation because I wasn't in the mood to use any foundation.

MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NW25
ELF Mineral Booster
Stage Prime Time Eye Perfecting Base
NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit
NYX Mysterious Brown Eyes Palette
NYX Ultimate Pearl Shadow in White Pearl
Stila Kajal Eyeliner
Stage Angel Lash Mascara
Empro Triangular Eyebrow Pencil in Golden Brown
Princess Li Falsies
Stage Powder Blush in Snapdragon

Hence, this is my version...

I thought I've overly applied the eyeshadows in reality because the colour looked so dark on my eyes but when I took pictures, it isn't so obvious like what you're seeing now. I did tone down on the eyeshadows because I don't want ending up looking like an ogre or anything.

Too much eyeshadow sucks!

Here are the close-up pictures!

Gah... I'm feeling so, so sleepy after a filling lunch!

Anyhow, here's a final complimentary camwhore picture!

Have a great day ahead, people!

EOTD - Blue Sparkles

Update - NYX products can now be bought at Colours Cosmetics if you are from Malaysia and Singapore!

There I was, getting ready to go out earlier when I've decided I should just do EOTD since I have never shared anything like that before.

So, here's a picture and a list of products I've used to achieve this look.

Shills Pores Hide & Heal Cream
Stage Prime Time Eye Perfecting Base
ELF Mineral Booster
Jesse's Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dusts in Blue Moon
Jesse's Girl in Pure Pigment Eye Dusts Blackstar Blue
NYX Ultimate Pearl Shadow in White Pearl
NYX Powder Blush in Angel
Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Onyx (not in the picture)
Physicians Formula Gel Liner (not in the picture)
ELF False Lashes (not in the picture)
NYX Round Lipstick in Strawberry Milk
NYX Round Lipgloss in Sorbet
Stage Wonderlust Lipstick in Audrey

I tried applying Jesse's Girl's pigment eyeshadow without a sticky base and guess what? The pigment just wouldn't stick to my eyelids, hence, I used Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Onyx as the base since black base compliments blue!

Aside from the eyes, everything on the face was kept simple since I didn't want to distract attention and being blamed by the makeup police for being too LOUD.

Here's another close-up look just for you guys!

I am entitled to act cute, right? Hahaha... You tell me, which girl doesn't love acting cute? Be it girls with boyfriends or single girls, we all LOVE being cute!

Here's another full-faced picture just to share with you all before I forget and delete everything from my camera!

Oh... if you're wondering about my headband, I was going retro, so, it explains all the polka dots and all. I even had the intention to pair up EOTD with something I was wearing earlier, hence, I used blue!

Anyway, gonna go into my slumber now!

Before I retire, here's just another picture to annoy you all!

Good night and sweet dreams, people!

My take for BB Cream

Remember when I blogged about how much I rave and rave for Skin79's The Oriental Gold BB Cream Plus? Then, it was followed by the haul? Hahahaha... If you don't remember, this is the BB Cream that I've gotten...

Honestly, this BB Cream packaging is gorgeous, so, so gorgeous and I love anything that's gold! Hahaha... I'm a very realistic and materialistic person.

Lemme tell you a little bit about this BB Cream...

Well, it is printed on the label that this BB Cream is suitable with those with dry to combination skin and also those with wrinkles, still, if you're someone like me, who periodically like dewy finishing and also somebody who has oily and combination skin - you can still get this one! It doesn't feel sticky at all especially after you apply your loose powder after the BB Cream.

The texture isn't very watery or overly creamy - it's just nice.

Notice the differences between the applied and also unapplied spots? I know I looked like a goddamn freak but who cares, right?

So... I waited a bit...

Can you see the BB Cream had begin to set in with my complexion? Well... this isn't so bad, all you've gotta do is just to wait patiently!

Hooray to dewy finishing!

NYX Jazz Night

Update - NYX products can now be bought at Colours Cosmetics if you are from Malaysia and Singapore!

Remember the Jazz Night palette from NYX Malaysia?

See... die-die must take picture with the palette, no play-play. Hahaha... I love, love, love Jazz Night and nothing can change that - at least for the time being.

Remember Aubrey? If you don't, search for her youtube account or even blog from my sidebar, I'm just too lazy to link anyone right now but one thing for sure, she's an awesome make-up guru because I love all her tutorials!

So, this is the look she's created using Jazz Night...

A simple, sexy transition from brown to blue with just a simple palette, I mean, how can you not love NYX for coming out with such a wonderful product, right?

Anyway, I basically re-created her look but instead of using a blue base, I used NYX JEP in Milk as, my blue base was left at my hometown. Hence, below is the picture of what I've created.

Nothing too great but still, I'm loving it but then again, forgive me for my lousy, yucky complexion as it's that time of the month again and ppoooofff... the mushrooming of pimples!

See you guys later!

Love from Daiso

When it comes to make-up products, I am usually very particular about the products I purchase or going to purchase. I usually do a lot of researches before I finally decide to buy certain products. I'd say 90% of the products I have are branded ones because I don't want to wake up in the morning with a ruined face due to the use of cheapo make-up products.

Somehow, I was proven wrong - I don't know why... well, yeah, high maintenance is just another word to describe me so, beware my future husband, your future wife here is uberly high maintenance. Muahaha...

We shall leave that topic out, shall we?

Anyway, I was out with Darlingkin last week and was over at Daiso, The Curve. I know, I haven't blog about anything on our date yet because I'm waiting for him to blog about it. Haha... I have yet to edit the pictures but coming soon, I promise.

Geez, I get diverted pretty easily, don't I?

Well, we were at Daiso when I checked out the make-up products available because I've read the review from Connie regarding the products there. I was very doubtful of the foundation, so, I didn't buy it. After half an hour to one hour or maybe more than that... these were what I have bought...

1. Concealer
2. Blusher
3. Eyebrow pencil
4. Eyeshadow

Total damage to my purse - RM20. Ah, RM20 is still affordable for 4 products, right? I mean when I bought the infamous Empro Eyebrow Pencil, it cost me RM38.80! I can't deny the fact that this eyebrow pencil does it's job in a superb manner and I really love it but imagine how many beauty products I can get with RM38.80 at Daiso - seven, alright, seven!

First of all, the concealer really does do magic. I mean for a tiny amount of RM5, the concealer is really good already! It covers my zit and blemish with medium to full coverage! This is worth buying!

Next up is the blusher...

Highlight is included in the blusher set. The only thing I don't like about this set is that it is too powdery and the colours don't shine through well. I have to put layers and layers of the pinkish shade before you can notice the blusher on my cheeks.

Well, RM5 only, so, no complain.

Third is the eyeshadow set...

Can you see the shimmers? Gosh, it's even more majestic than that in real life! The colour is really beautiful, mind you!

I was really surprised with the eyeshadow in fact! Look at the pigmentation of the eyeshadow below...

It can ALMOST beat Coastal Scent's 88 colour palatte already if it is not so powdery! Damn... I fell in love with the colours right on the spot when I saw it. Even Darling was amazed how long I could stay there just to choose the right colours for myself!

I attempted a look using all the products I bought from Daiso the next day and this is what I have achieved!

Is it bad? Please tell me I look good, pretty please...

Close-up pictures!

Sorry for the ugly zits! I didn't conceal and was just attempting and didn't wanna waste foundation or anything. Stingy me!

On the whole I am quite satisfied with the products. Out of a full five-star rating, I'd give the products a 3. I'm being quite generous already!

Alright, before I go... here you go, a picture of me, attempting to pose like Amber Chia...

In the end... I failed... so, I'm going to bed now... Good night, everyone!

Basic Smokey Eyes

You can actually achieve a lot of smokey eyes' looks using different colours and just not long ago, I was opting for purple smokey eyes but too bad I couldn't find the right colour combination, so, I just set the thought of creating that look aside and went for a very basic smokey eyes with grey, silver and black.

Since my dear Sherene mentioned that she likes the make-up tutorials I'm doing, Imma going to do more especially for her so that it'd be able to inspire her to make-up more. Now, don't get me wrong, Sherene, you're already pretty even without make-up. Haha...

Alright, alright, the first step is always to clean your face - use your cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Do whatever you want. Wait for few minutes before applying tone corrector, foundation and mineral powder.

The next step is to apply the basic grey undertone. I didn't want my eyes to look so freaking dramatic, so, I tonned down the colour.

Then, I applied a little silver eyeshadow to make it shimmery.

The last eyeshadow that came into contact during the make-over was black. Use your pencil brush, dab a little black eyeshadow, apply on your crease and then, take your blending brush and blend the rough edges away.

Finally, yes, your eyeliner. The thickness of your eyeliner is very much dependent on your preferance. I wanted it to be less dramatic, so, the line I drew was kinda thin. Apply your false lashes if you want your eyes to be seen especially at night.

Aih... I'm too lazy to blog more right now - sleepy and hungry.

I can't believe there's no food in the house. Imma gonna die of hunger...
