Strawberrilicious

I don't know about you but I do have sweet tooth. Whenever I see nice desserts, I'd go weak on my knees. Yeah, I guess some of you know how it feels to drool over a heavenly piece of cheesecake or shortcake, right?

OMG... I am salivating again! I think I'm making myself crave for strawberry shortcakes right now even though I have just taken my dinner 3 hours ago.

Aih... how on Earth am I going to lose weight?

LOLX!

Looks like my diet can go straight into the dustbin already. Why, oh, why?

Wait!

Remember my previous entry where I've said there are other alternatives in everything you do? Well... when I say other alternative, this is what I mean...

Revlon Lip Butter!

If you don't know yet, Revlon launched this lips product which is a combination of lipstick and lip balm. It is said to perform similarly like a lip balm which includes moisturising dry and chapped lips, I believe.

My favourite shade has to be Strawberry Shortcake! Yes, it is as cute as the cartoon character itself!

Here, take a closer look!

Strawberry Shortcake comes in a very sweet pale pink shade. The pink is almost opaque if you were to apply the lipstick very generously.

I'd say if you're going for smokey eyes, this shade would make you look like a barbie doll!

On the whole, I am really impressed with this product - from the colour of the shades to the lasting power of it. Most of the times, when people label lipstick as long-lasting, the first thing that will come across your mind should be, "Hey, it's gonna be very drying!"

Nah, re-think again, you could be wrong, babes!

This product is somehow different.

I had really hard time trying to choose one shade out of the 8 others because firstly, I wasn't intrigued with the all time favourite - Peach Parfait. I tried it and was disappointed because it was super shimmery and the colour just didn't show up on my lips at all exception for the blings.

I liked Lollipop but I have similar shade so, I skipped it.

I ended up getting Strawberry Shortcake due to two simple and silly reasons - I love Strawberry Shortcake and I like it pink! LOLX!

This is how Strawberry Shortcake looks like on my lips upon application.

Stupid sister was screaming it looked horrendous because pink isn't the right colour for me but it is for her. Hey, hey, hey, who cares, right?

I love it and decided to go against her philosophy. Hahaha. Well, she actually prefers Peach Parfait.

This product is quite moisturising surprisingly. I had really dry and chapped lips the other day when I picked this product up. I believe it doesn't dry up easily but once it's dry, it will stay put.

Staying put as in long-lasting power. The other day when I wore it, I wore it for 5 hours straight. I had my fair amount of beverages and finger food too and guess what, it was still there after I checked out on it.

I even tried transferring the colour onto a piece of tissue and yeah, it did transferred to the tissue. Little did I expect to see a tinge of pinkiness still seen despite of what I have done. OMFG, the shade was still seen on my lips!

Isn't that amazing?

I mean, look at the picture below... can you notice a tinge of pinkiness after 5 hours or so?

Sorry for my big arse face. I was trying to catch the right angle but all the pictures ended up in disasters, so, this is the only picture available for now.

I definitely have no complain over this product. For a price less than RM25 for a product that does what it claims, this is something we girls need to own - dry, chapped lips, moisturising effect, colours and yeah, you name it and Revlon Lip Butter does have it!

However, the only thing I wanna rant about is, REVLON MALAYSIA, WHY YOU NO BRING IN OTHER SHADES?

Yeah, we all want more than those 8 shades available in the market!

Pros
Affordable, easily found in the market, long-lasting and moisturising.

Cons
Not enough shades available in the market

Price - RM24.90
Product - 4.5 out of 5
Packaging - 4 out of 5
Availability - Sasa, Guardian, Watson, Caring
Re-purchase - Yes

Have you girls try out the Revlon Lip Butter yet?

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

Just like any of you makeup geeks and lovers out there... I was really curious before I get to try out these lip butters.

I was supposed to run out to Midvalley to pick up these last week but since I was in a rush, I didn't manage to pick up anything.

Yesterday, I was at Guardian and coincidentally, saw these lip butters!

As expected, I tried all of the shades because for sure I know I won't be picking up all of them since I have tons of unused lipsticks and lip glosses.

I was excited over Peach Parfait because most of you out there went crazy over this shade. I tried it on myself and upon looking into the mirror, I was shocked that this shade looked sooooo freaking glittery and shimmery on my lips! The shimmer and glitter were sooooo crazy! Even after I wiped it off my lips, the shimmer and glitter remained around my lips until I washed it off with water.

I'm not sure how about shades are there available in Malaysia but I did see 8 different shades at Guardian yesterday.

Priced at RM24.90 each, I wouldn't say it's very expensive nor cheap. It's kinda OKAY for me, I think.

So, after trying out each shade, I managed to pick my top 3 favourite shades! Here are the swatches!

Well... I am not sure about the moisturizing effect or anything like that since I have yet to try this product out for the whole day since I don't own any of them. So, I won't be reviewing or telling you about what I think of these products just yet.

I'll be purchasing the above shades once I am done with my current lips' products.

Anyway, my holiday is coming to an end soon - I shall be returning to KL tomorrow night... Time to face reality!

Revlon Color Silk Luminista

I've been too much CNY shopping lately that I'm in bankruptcy mode.

I went to Tangs at Pavilion last week and hauled a great lotsa stuffs from their Disney collection. I mean, duh... hello... DISNEY, okay? The price ranges from RM59.90 to RM189.90 and honestly, who would even think of hauling anything from there if you've gotta pay RM189.90 for a pair of jeans? Okay, maybe it's just me - Imma cheapskate sometimes.

Still, I pretty much bought everything in sight.

Best deal ever, 70% off each item!!!

So, imagine the original price is like RM930 and I get a 70% off?

I finally bought my first ever SKINNY JEANS from DISNEY!

Originally priced at RM139.90 and after discount, it's RM42 and can you tell me it's not worth it or not? The material is super comfortable!

Lemme show you my big butt!

The tee is sold at RM59.90 before discount, hence, if you're interested, head down to Tangs now, now, now!!! The sales will be on until 4th of February, I guess.

And best of all... if you get your Disney jeans, you can die and go to heaven straight away.

Imma wearing a size 27 jeans? Did I kid you not? Stupid sister got a size in 25 and she was over the moon and screaming to everyone, "I'm wearing a size 25 jeans!"

Hahahaha... Again, I went for a 3D movie at TGV at a freaking RM20 per head.

Lesson of the day - Never ever go for 3D movie because it's freaking annoying having these 3D glasses on and if you lose it, you've gotta pay RM100 for it. Further more, it's expensive and after the movie, you're probably gonna get a headache like me!

Anyway, this entry isn't going to be something about Disney or jeans or movie, it's about hair. Yes, baby, it's all about my hair!

All of a sudden, I'm feeling like I'm an incarnation of human being and golden retriever because you know what, instead of ending up with ash blonde hair, I ended up having golden hair.

The product I used was Revlon Color Silk Luminista this time around.

I don't know if you can see the shade I've used but if you can't, here you go, another picture of the packaging.

Can you see it? It's in 175 Medium Blonde but heck... my hair is gold, gold! Scarily gold! I don't know if you're used to seeing me with gold hair instead of dark brown or black hair, but it terrified me the other day when I looked at my own reflection in the mirror!

I mean, duh... I did went like super gold few years back before starting my university days and the colour was freaking scary that dad asked me to dye my hair back to black or dark brown the following week!

Well... this time around, the colour is yes, gold but not worse than last time and it's fairly acceptable, except the fact that I haven't been having medium gold hair for like 6 years already!

If you have yet to notice the colour from my first picture of this entry... here goes...

I did something that is totally stupid... After I dyed my hair, I kinda forgotten I had hair dye on and I left it on for a freaking 2 hours and this is the end result! The root is more gold than the ends... but... I guess it'll fade in few more days - hopefully.

Stupid sister used the same shade but she left it on for one hour or so, hence this is her colour as of now.

She went like, "Hey, I love my fringe after dyeing my hair!"

Yes, credits to haircare products from d Hair Shop. Check out their products, girls - they have a whole different range of haircare products depending on your hair types!

I'm deeply in love with their moisis, satine and also d' Therapist range - seriously. I thought to myself, "Shit... my hair is gonna fall again after dyeing!" but I was wrong, their products are amazing! My hair feels so soft even 3 days after dyeing it!!!

However, their products are not widely available all over Malaysia. If you hail from KL, lucky you because you can grab their products at Midvalley and Pavilion. Now, they're having RM0.88++ sales, hence, if you wanna restock your haircare products, head there now! I mean, immediately!

My takes on Revlon Color Silk Lumista

Pros

  • Not dripping, which is great, since it's in gel form.

  • Affordable price - RM22.80 after 10% discount from Watson.

  • No ammonia, as being stated on the packaging.

  • Cons

  • Insufficient product for girls with shoulder-lengthed or a little bit longer hair.

  • Might be kinda coarse after dyeing if you skipped using it's conditioner.

  • Colour not true to the packaging - like always.

  • Price

    RM22.80 or so.

    Will I buy it again?

I might consider trying other colours, but not now.

So, have you tried this product? How does it work for you?
