I think I have been indulging in quite a number of Korean make-up products lately despite not being a big fan of shimmery or glittery eyeshadows and stuffs like that. Well, that's for another story.
During the Lioele sales and promotion period, I managed to pick up one of the Crystal Muse Eyehadow in Mint Aqua for only RM19.90 - not more, not less. I think the original retail price is RM29.90 each.
Packaged in a square shiny pink box, it is difficult not to spot these line of eyeshadows! I mean, look at the colour - they're pink, princessy and cute!
I am a sucker for nice and cute packaging!
On the inside, once you unboxed it, you will be two eyeshadows infused together in a plastic packaging.
My first reaction was, "DUH!"
I didn't get to see what the product looks like before buying it because I was in such a rush and I thought mint is the colour for this season so, I sapu-ed it into my shopping bag without thinking twice.
You see... the reason why I went nay instead of yay was because the eyeshadows look really cheap in the plastic packaging.
I have an eyeshadow from Sera Cosmetics that retails at RM5 each and lemme tell you, the packaging is exactly the same - cheap plastic.
Putting the talk on packaging aside, let's check out how the pigmentation of the eyeshadow goes, shall we?
Both of the shades do not really show up on my skin upon the first swatch. What you see in the picture is the result of 3 to 4 swatches without primer or base. Hey, considering I did not test the eyeshadows with primer or base and they actually showed on my skin, they're not bad at all.
The lighter mint performs really well as highlighter as you know, the green is almost unnoticeable whereas the darker mint is just a normal eyeshadow.
However, one thing I am glad - both eyeshadows are not glittery or shimmery. They are more towards frosted or muted shades.
One thing I don't like about this product is that they lacked of a deeper or darker shade that should come together with the lighter shades.
Hence, it makes this product not-travel-friendly even though the size is small. I have to resort to use my own darker brown shade to create a minty chocolate look.
So, here you go... my personalized chocolate mint look using the Lioele Crystal Muse Eyeshadow in Mint Aqua. Of course I added a tinge of fuchsia on my lips!
The lipstick is pure love.
Oh, I don't think I will re-purchase any of the eyeshadows. One is enough to last me quite a while because I figured out the other shades would be similar in consistency too.
Anyway, have a great Wednesday, people!

Blooms like a flower
I often heard from the elders that a growing older up girl is just like a blooming flower. Hence, when she is blooming like a flower, her complexion will have this radiance that makes her glow. Well, that is supposed to be her prettiest moments ever.
As for myself, I don't think I had or have that radiance especially when I was growing up or erm... blooming. Hahaha... Whatever it is, since I didn't and don't have the natural glow in me, I have to depend on products to make my complexion glows so that I look healthier and of course, prettier.
Well... I came across this product from Lioeleagain that acts as make-up base or primer for your foundation. At the same time, Lioele claims that this is a skin care make-up base that keeps skin moist by maintaining the water balance through naturally moisturizing amino acid derivatives and other various moisturizing agents. It will transform skin tone from sordid to brilliant and gives definition to the face to make it lustrous and seem smaller.
When I picked this product up, I did not expect much too because all I could thought of was the fact that I needed a make-up base to make my foundation stay put longer without sliding or anything.
Sounds pretty typical, right?
Anyway, just in case you are wondering, this base has gone through face-lifting and it doesn't come in pump form any longer. If you are interested, the face-lifted make-up base comes in a tube form. The face-lifted version came in a prettier, pinker and more shimmery packaging. This is how the face-lifted version looks like...
Simply adorable, right?
I want one too but then again, no pump! Therefore, I am contented with the older packaging that comes with a pump for hygiene purposes. I am quite unsure if you can still can the older packaging though. Whatever it is, I heard the products work the same way.
They have it in 2 different shades - pink and yellow.
This is how the older version looks like...
Pink packaging as well but with a pump, which is like 100 times better than in tube form!
Okay, meme's over, let's come back to reality - Lioele won't be going back to the old packaging anytime soon so, we'll get stuck with this tube form for a while. Thank goodness mine is the older packaging, yes!
The pump is okay - plastic. For a round, big and fat face like mine, I need two dollops of the product to cover my whole face if I were to use as a make-up base.
One pumped out, the product looks a little pinkish and shimmery. Yes, I've gotten it in pink so, it explains why the product is shimmery pink. Initially, I thought I was gonna end up looking like a freaking disco ball because I hate products that shines and shimmers since I have oily combination skin.
Miraculously, as a make-up base, once blended, there is no shimmers or shines to my complexion. Once blended, you will notice a really nice pinkish glow - please refer to the picture above. It looks as if your complexion radiates healthy glow!
I like it!
The consistency is not oily or drying at all. It is alright so, I supposed everyone can use this thing as make-up base.
After experimenting with this product for a while, I realized it can double up as a highlighter as well! You can use it especially to highlight your cheekbones!
Personally, I prefer to mix this product with my Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream for that magical glow and voila, it works like magic! My BB cream stays a little bit longer and best of all, I can now bloom like a beautiful flower.
Okay, literally blooming! LOLX! Oh, I am not sponsored to talk all the nice things about this product nor am I being paid by Maybelline to pose in such a way. Hahaha.
It retails at RM59.90 for 30ml at Lioele Malaysia.
Re-purchase? Maybe! One bottle of this will last me for a while, I guess.

Rawr for Lioele Gel Eyeliner
I have a love-hate relationship with gel eyeliners no matter what brand it is, until I discovered Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Gel Cream Liner. I fell in love with it and decided to keep on purchasing it until Physicians Formula stops producing it. When my train case was stolen, these babies were taken away from me and thereon, I figured out that my life would suck without the eyeliner.
Then, I discovered Lioele Gel Eyeliner.
To be honest with you, I don't really fancy Korean cosmetics or skin care products. From what I have experienced in the past, none of the Korean skin care products actually worked for me. As for the cosmetics, errrr... let's just say most of the times, I am not into shimmery and glittery eyeshadows, lipsticks or lip glosses. That's just me - I like everything matte or semi matte.
Anyway, I bought this eyeliner without high hope it will last because my eyelids are quite oily since I have oily combination skin. Most of the make-up I apply on my eyelids never lastes for more than 2 hours without eyeshadow primers. I half-heartedly expect this eyeliner to suck too. LOLX!
The shade I bought was 02 Choco Brown.
I believe there are probably 2 shades available if you are interested. It retails for RM49.90 each but I got mine at RM29.90 only because Lioele was having promotional sales or something. Since the eyeliner was on discount, I thought to myself, "Why not?"
Oh, if you don't wanna do online ordering and stuffs like that, you can always drop by selected Parkson within Malaysia to check out more Lioele products.
Okay, going back to the gel eyeliner. The reason why I didn't end up getting black is because I do have 2 black eyeliners in my collection and I wanted something more down-to-earth and not too harsh, hence, brown it shall be!
Let's start with the packaging... once you get down to opening the box and packaging, this is what you're gonna see...
Obviously, gel eyeliner in the jar with a brush! LOLX!
In fact, I think most Korean brands have similar packaging. Look at the picture below!
From left to right - eyeliners from Nature Republic, Tony Moly and Holika Holika.
Does that ring any bell? LOLX!
I don't fancy such packaging actually. It gets quite annoying especially if I were to bring it around with me when I travel. It tends to poke as it moves around. One of the solution to this problem is to just detach the brush but still, erm... I don't think it will become less poke-y. I prefer just a normal jar packaging.
The gel eyeliner is not user friendly as it claims to be. The gel is kinda hard, I don't know why. I have to warm it up with my hair dryer every time when I use it. It gets pretty troublesome as I need my hair dryer in hand when I reach for this eyeliner.
However, the gel itself is not very pigmented. You may need a few application to make it obvious to the eyes.
The brush makes the application hurts like b*tch! I really wanna love the brush but honestly, I don't... it keeps on poking my eyes no matter how careful I am and brush tip sucks like mad! In the end, I always have to resort to use my own eyeliner brush.
On the staying power of this eyeliner.
HOLY COW!!!
When it dries out and stays put, it will stay put for the rest of the day!!!
That is like.... ah-mazing!
I tried running the dried application under a running tap water and look, it's still there!
At first, I was like, "Ah-okay, it will disappear later!"
So, I went to take my shower. I scrubbed my whole body and you know, the typical stuffs you do in shower. I took no notice of the eyeliner and carried on with my skin care routine. Then, I went to get my supper and bah... to sleep too!
After 8 hours of sufficient sleep, I woke up to brush my teeth and wash my face before going for my morning jog. I know I have had crazy days at home but hey... that's my life if you don't know. When I came back from my jog, I stepped into shower again and you have to believe my expression when I saw this!!!
It was really crazy - I mean, which gel eyeliner can stay put in such manner? Totally crazy staying power!
I have to remove the rest of the eyeliner using make-up remover. I don't think water alone can remove this eyeliner completely.
Well... on the whole, I like the staying power of this eyeliner. It's so much better than my Physicians Formula's but application sucks because of the texture of the gel and also the brush.
Other than that, I have no complain at all.
Regarding if I will repurchase this in future, hmmmm... maybe. Let's just say Lioele needs to put in more effort to improve the texture and creaminess of the gel eyeliner.

My first Lioele
Honestly, I never really did give any thoughts on Korean skin care or make-up products. It's not that I wasn't exposed to these products but personally, I am not a big fan. I like my make-up being SEEN. Yes, if make-up is to be au-naturel or not seen, what is it for, right?
Anyway, I had in mind earlier to get a concealer from Maybelline or Lancôme - that was before I got to know Lioele Malaysia is officially going to launch and well, when is the best time to shop and buy when there are sales and promotions, right?
I ended up getting few items from Lioele. Among all other products, the Mix Concealer is one of them.
I was trying out their under-eye concealer but it wasn't sufficient to even cover my dark circles. It was too white and gah... the last thing I wanna look like a sick person.
So, I ended up with the Mix Concealer.
As the name may have already suggested, you can mix the concealer since it comes in two different shades within the same packaging. Oh, Lioele only has one of these two shades available and when I've said one, that means if you are light to medium skin tone, you can get one of this.
However, if you are of darker skin tone, I don't think this concealer would suit you because the darkest shade available. Unless you mix this concealer with a concealer from another brand or so.
I don't know how much product there is in a single packaging but well, if you really wanna know, I'll put it side by side to my favourite lipstick for comparison .
There isn't a lot of product but then again, it is okay. I don't think you need a lot of concealer to conceal your whole face, right?
Personally, I would only use the darker side for my under eye while the lighter shade is used for highlighting.
I am so sorry I didn't take a picture of those two shades being blended out - kinda forgot. LOLX!
On the whole, this concealer is a darling to work with. It is not runny and not very sticky. It does not crack, provided you don't apply too much. It is not too creamy too and blending with your fingers is really fine!
Lemme show you how the concealer looks like on me.
Sorry, picture is not filtered or even edited. My under eye is really concealed properly without using much product. I've managed to conceal my zits and even my uneven skin tone. Thanks to the darker shade in the palette itself.
Anyway, this concealer retails at RM69.90 only. It is not exactly expensive or even cheap. For me, as long as a product works fine, I'm willing to pay for it.
On whether or not I will be buying more of it - yes, I may, in future. I think this palette will last at least a year or so for me.

Return, without a 'bang'!
As promised, I will be getting back on blogging track as soon as I get a new laptop and here I am now, blogging with a new laptop that is not mine but well... temporarily mine. LOLX!
If you are wondering why, my house was broken into my some asshole of thieves the day I got back home from KL and those bastards practically took everything. Yes, when I've said everything, it includes my traincase full of makeup as well as all my skin care products I've just bought from Clinique and Lancôme. Imagine how could I not gone weak on my knees when I got home from the church that very night and saw my living room in a mess with my stuffs gone. All my precious pictures in my laptop and external hard disk were gone too, thus, I was unable to even blog about it.
The whole experience left me really upset and moody because I treasure all my stuffs, laptop and pictures! All these years of memories were gone because of those assholes! I curse them. Yes, right, I really do curse them and their descendants that they'll all die ugly deaths! Do not blame me for cursing them because they even took the earrings my late grandmother left for my mother. You tell me, if you were me, how would you feel?
Whatever that is, I don't really want to know except that these people deserve to have their limbs amputated for stealing.
Anyway, thanks to these suckers, I have to spend a fortune to get new make-up and also skin care products. The downside to it, although I get to buy new products, I can no longer afford branded skin care or make-up products. FML!
I only had RM500 in my possession the day I went out to get new stuffs because a lot of brands I am using are not available at my hometown and I do not want to pay extra to ask people to post these stuffs back to me since postage would be hefty!
So, I picked up whatever that are available and I practically spent like RM474 on all the stuffs you see in the picture below.
Definitely not everything that I need but since I desperately needed make-up products for my BFF's wedding, I had to get something. I figured out I didn't wanna spend too much on irrelevant products this time around so, I ended up getting only those products I am familiar with and have been using. This includes products I have been loving exception for the new Shiseido liquid foundation and brush.
I have been raving the Shiseido foundation brush for quite some time after reading Paris B's review on it a few months back. I had no plan on getting one back then because I had my trusty ELF foundation brush but since I no longer had it, I wanted to get a really good brush that is worth every penny.
Anyway, that is a story for another day.
Aside from that, since Lioele Malaysia is having it's grand opening sales, I dropped by because of the 10% discount as well as freebies!
They gave away freebies worth RM88 with every purchase of RM100. LOLX!
Best of all, these freebies come with really cute and pink carry-around cardbox - I am a sucker for cute and illogical packaging!
I bought a concealer and also shimmer base. The lip pencil belongs to stupid sister. At present time, I am hooked to my Revlon Lip Butters so, other lip products may have to wait a bit.
Wanna take a peek what is inside the cute freebies' box?
Here you go!
In total, I've spent more than RM600 to get these products and I've yet to get any decent eyeshadows or primers. I guess I would have been a dead cow by the end of this month because my current skin care products are going to be used up in half month or so and FML, where the hell am I gonna find so much moo-lah to buy new stuffs?

Addicted to red lips!
Remember when I blogged about red lips? Well, I was terrified of red lips initially. I remember, as a child, when mum put on her red lipstick, I always thought it looked horrible but today, when I am a fully grown-up and learning the do's and don'ts of makeup, I finally come to the term that, "Red lips are hot, never go out of style, classy and sexy!"
Well, if red lips are not your cuppa tea, erm... perhaps you can learn to like them before loving them. I mean, red lips are so versatile - you can almost wear them anywhere, be it to your workplace, classy high-class dinner or just a simple night out with your dates or even best girl friends!
Aih, but then, it's so hard to find the right shade of red for myself because I don't fancy matte red lipstick as much as I love matte lipsticks. Hmm... shimmery red doesn't work for me too, I guess, hence, for the time being, I will stick to silky red.
Erm... maybe I can venture into trying out different shades of reds. Oh, oh... I'm willing to try out any lavender, orange or peach coloured lipsticks as well - there's nothing wrong with trying even though you may end up looking like a ghost from Chinese Orchestra. So, these are the lipsticks that I am eyeing right now. Please, please, someone, lemme have those!

All Lioele's lipsticks? Well... kinda. Hahaha... I'm into Korean cosmetics, especially the lips' products. Don't ask me, I don't know why. I know Lioele has just made it's grand launching throughout Malaysia a few weeks ago but I have yet to check it out due to my f*cked up working and studying schedule.
Hence, if you happen to be at Parkson Sibu, Gurney Plaza, The Mall or Sg. Wang, you can always drop by to check out their complete range of products!
Anyway, if you're gonna wear red lips, the tips are, NO, NO, NO multi-coloured eyeshadows! In fact, you keep your eyeshadows to minimal since so much attention will be given to your bright red lips! You may consider doing brown or grey smokey eyes for a sexy evening look! If you're hesitant to wear eyeshadows with red lips, you can keep everything natural - concealer, setting powder, eyeliner and poooffff, you're good to go!
OMG... can't believe I am addicted to red lips right now that I think I'm gonna wear red lips more often! LOLX! Okay, I am crazy, mind you! Hahaha. Anyway, lemme share you with the lips of the day - RED, RED, RED! Ong, ong, ong! Huat, huat, huat!

My little cousin said I look like a pontianak or better known as the ghost of a woman died during child birth, in the picture above. WTF?! Hahahaha... Him and his sense of fashion totally sucks, red is totally the new black for this season!
OMG... time is ticking and I'm still here?! Gotta rush, people! Have a lovely Tuesday and I'll update again soon! Meanwhile, check out Lioele's counters in Parkson throughout Malaysia, alright?
