Guess who went shopping again?

Happy Malaysia Day, people!

For those of you who are having holiday today, good news for you and an extra reason for you to go shopping but for those of you i.e. ME, who are still working as of today until 7pm, booo hooo... bad news and nothing to look forward too...

But then again, yeah, guess who went shopping last week?

Yeah... the answer is obvious and it's me! Hahaha... Lame and cold joke but I loike, I loike! Makeup products replenishing time even though I still have lotsa products lying about in my room.

Not to worry, not to worry... yours truly did not splurge. Instead, I just bought 4 items from CociCoci, Midvalley. Hahaha... You bet, it is products from Essence again!

Yeah, I bought 2 lip liners and 2 lipsticks because I am so in love with the very moisturizing lipsticks. As of the lip liners, they're so, so creamy that they glide on easily!

~ Lipsticks in Fashionista and Glam Love ~

I was quite disappointed for the fact that I did not manage to get the lipstick in Almost Famous. Darn... I want that shade so, so much because it's red and I am learning to wear red.

Isabel, 加油, aza-aza fighting, ka yao in learning to wear red lipsticks too!

~ Lip liners in Nude Coral and Cute Pink ~

There are no swatches as of today because I haven't try out those products yet since I am a very, very busy person. LOLX!

Anyway, I gotta get going now - work's calling!

Happy weekend, people!

I've found my Essence to Stardom!

Okay, I crap a lot but well... Essence to Stardom does sound good in a way. LOLX!

Anyway, I bet a lot of you out there if you're aware of the world of makeup and beauty, you've came across an Europe brand called Essence. If you're not, boo... go google it up!

I've mentioned one of products from Essence in my blog before but it was skincare product so, this time around, when I went shopping again, I bought few other products, namely their trio concealer, lipsticks, lip gloss and also nail enamel.

Best of all, they're so, so affordable that you wouldn't believe they're so freaking cheap!

Oh, so... I've gotten their lipsticks!

Well, cheap plastic packaging but then again, it's pink and lavender, so, I heart them! If you're thinking they only have these two shades, do reconsider again, they have shades like peach and also red but sorry, girls, if you're a shimmer hater, these lipsticks are just not for you.

I don't fancy shimmer but I don't hate them, so, if they really perform and they are available in nice shades, why not, right?

I bought myself two lipsticks in the shade Fairytale and also Frosted.

Basically, Fairytale is something like purplish pink or it could be close to something maroon? I'm bad at describing colours. As of Frosted, it's just a nice sheen of pink, as simple as that. They might appear all shimmery but once you've applied it on your lips, believe me, they are not shimmery at all!

I love, love Frosted to the max for a day out look even without any makeup on! It gives your lips a healthy pinkish glow just like that!

Sorry for the bad quality picture because I'm still learning how to use the camera function of my Samsung Galaxy S2. So, if you're of the Galaxy S2 clan, hey, let's high-five!

Ah, that's story for another day!

Pros
Affordable and works pretty well. Nice shades and definitely a must-have for shimmer lovers!

Cons
Cheap plastic packaging and feels fragile. Not widely available countrywide. Colour can only last for maximum two to three hours.

All in all, I'm in love with these lippies and I don't mind going back and getting the WHOLE collection since they're cheap!

Essence My Skin Mattifying Cream

Perhaps, some of you are not familiar with the brand, Essence. I came across this brand in ULTA during one of my shopping sprees. If you don't know, Essence came from Europe and bla, bla, bla... you've gotta check it out!

I did notice most of the prices range from USD$1.99 to USD$5.99 or so. The items are super affordable, okay? At that point of them, I didn't get anything since I was more interested in other stuffs.

Hence, during the most recent IBE 2011, I noticed Essence has finally made it into Malaysia's market - in which, for your budget beauties out there, this is a great news! Make your way to CociCoci at Bukit Bintang to check out products from Essence, alright? I promise you won't be dissapointed!

I managed to pick up several items from Essence the other day and one of the best products that I've picked up is this!

I agree, that was an impulse buy because I was eyeing another moisturizer at that time but since it retailed for only RM9.90 during IBE, I thought to myself, "Hey, it doesn't kill to try, right?"

See... I kid you not - it was printed on the label - RM9.90 only! Nice price, nice packaging and best of all, nice berries' smell - me lurve, lurve, lurve!

The packaging is pretty neat for a mere RM9.90. I mean, where else can you dig out something like this, right?

So... another reason why I bought it was because read the label, it said MATTIFYING cream! I wanted to get MAC's Mattifying Spray or something like that but since it's way out of my budget, I won't get it. I'd rather spend RM10 instead of RM100 on a product - cheapskate, I know but it doesn't really matter.

Read on for information about the product. I'm just too lazy to type everything since I've already taken a picture.

I was skeptical in the first place before using this product because like always, my face is super oily, especially on the T-Zone and so far, NONE of the products work on me because normally, after around 4 to 5 hours, even after proper cleansing and all, darn... here comes the bride oil!

Trust me, this product is amazing because, I kept on checking out my face and realize there was minimal oiliness and it was so surprising since by the time I got home from a long day at work, it would usually be after 10 hours or so!

So, this product does live to its claim - 12 hours of mattifying effect! Me likey!

There is this seal that you need to lift in order to use the product - I adore the packaging - very hygienic!

On the whole, when you open the packaging and dig out the product, what you can expect is something gel-like. It is printed on the box 'cream' but honestly, I was so scared of cream products since my oily skin cannot take it but when I finally officialize the product, I was so, so glad it doesn't come in cream form.

The cream applies pretty easily but mind you, a little goes a long way since it's quite thick. Hence, it'd probably last me for quite a while. Best of all, it can be used as makeup primer! Multipurpose, again!

Before I end this entry, lemme present to you, my naked scary face!

Sorry if I've made you puke! Hahaha... That was me, waking up at 7am, washed my face and put on concealer, unblended. It scared the wits outta me when I realized I look so pale lately. Why, oh, why?

International Beauty Expo 2011

So, I spent the entire day at KL International Beauty Expo 2011 at KLCC for the whole of yesterday. Thus, I spent quite a lot - there goes my salary for this month!

Honestly, that wasn't my intention - I was planning to go to Kinokuniya to get a book but it just so happened that I saw this IBE 2011 banner being hung somewhere nearby KLCC and I was a little excited to be honest.

Hence, I kinda ran to the convention center and little did I expect I'd end up carrying so many stuffs back home - typically and uniquely me!

So, here are pictures of hauls of the day!

If you don't know yet, Essence has made it into Malaysia's market via CociCoci. If I'm not mistaken, their products retail at around USD$2.99 and above. Quite affordable, right? So, you can all scream your lungs out because their makeup and skincare products retail around RM10 to RM30. I was lucky that I went to IBE because these products will only be officially launched in June 2011, price will be increased as I was told.

The haul from CociCoci didn't even cost me more than RM70 actually. I was eyeing their new eyeshadow primer but then again, the new collection with the eyeshadow primer will only be launched in June too.

Stupid sister went nuts when she saw Tsubasa's eyelashes.

Buy one for RM55, buy two for only RM95 - you tell me, is it worth it or not? Some more, we were given a lot of samples to try out. A lot of the makeup products from the booth were being sold at 50% discount!

So, for girls who are eyeling My Beauty Diary products, well... they've finally launched their new skincare products - ice-cream inspired facial cleanser and mousse inspired facial scrub!

What can I say? They have one of the most unique ideas ever! Their products smell wonderful. Hahahahaha... now you know why we hauled like crazy after knowing that with the purchase of RM150 and above, we are entitled to purchase unlimited facial masks for only RM28. Normal prices range from RM39.90 to RM49.90 during IBE 2011.

What are you waiting for, girls?

If you're eyeing deals after deals, head to IBE 2011 at KLCC since 17th May 2011 is the last day of the expo!

I'm thinking of going back there to grab certain products too! If you bump into me, do come and say 'hi' because yes, I am friendly! LOLX!

Oh, ya... I did manage to get my book from Kinokuniya! Hahaha... Spent RM39.90 on it and I'm so broke now!

Have a great week ahead!
