Urban Decay Naked Basics

I am not very adventurous person when it comes to make-up. I prefer to stick with more neutrals like nude, brown, grey and black. My first ever neutral palette was first version of Urban Decay Naked but the palette was stolen. I told myself then, one of these days, I would replace that palette but after quite some times, I decided not to replace that palette because I could not see myself using all the shades in the palette.

When Urban Decay announced the launch of Naked Basics, I was over the moon for once again.

I have heard so many fantastic reviews about the palette and I surely would want to set my hands on the palette on my own! Did I tell you not? I'm always searching for good quality matte eyeshadows and as far as I know, matte eyeshadows are as pigmented as their shimmery or glittery counterparts. I told myself, "I have to get it to make my life complete."

So, after waiting for the palettes to reach our shore, I rushed out to the nearest Sephora and made my purchase - UD Naked Basics, you are now in my hands, yay!

Once I removed the packaging, I could not stop awing at the beauty of the palette. I could not keep my hands off the palette at all even though I have yet to start using it! Every morning, I would open the palette and smiled at the 6 different eyeshadows in it.

I was in love with the palette.

Yes, that is very true. In fact, I think I was obsessed with it for several months before using it. LOLX! The size of the palette is great if you are always on-the-go. You can easily slip the palette into your bag without feeling you've brought too many make-up products with you.

These are the 6 shades available in the palette. There are 5 matte and 1 shimmery shades.

Venus - a shimmery white shade that is good if you want to highlight or brighten up your complexion.

Foxy - a yellowish neutral shade that is good for highlighting your browbones.

W.O.S - a pinkish neutral shade that is also good for highlighting.

Naked 2 - nudish brown that may appear colourless if you are around NC25 to NC35.

Faint - light beige and I usually use this to darken up my eyeshadows.

Crave - black and certainly not the blackest black but it does it's job decently.

Let's put all the shades and swatches side-by-side for a more thorough comparison, shall we?

If you were to ask me, I would say the swatches are true to the shades you see in the palette so I do salute Urban Decay for their effort. All of the eyeshadows are buttery smooth. Pigmentation is quite good except for Crave, W.O.S and Foxy. They do feel a little chalky since they are matte eyeshadows but they still feel smooth upon touch.

Other than that, I have no complains of the palette at all.

Pros

  • Neat and great packaging

  • Big mirror that comes together with the palette

  • Eyeshadows are buttery smooth

  • Travel friendly

  • Cons

  • Uneven pigmentation

  • Some shades are chalky

  • These palettes are priced at RM98 each at Sephora, Malaysia.

    Hello, spring!

Spring is officially here in many parts of the world but for us in Malaysia, it's hot and humid all year round. Well, that does not mean we can't celebrate spring, right? There are actually quite a number of products that have been released or are going to be released in Spring 2013.

I am quite ecstatic over few of Urban Decay's products. Actually, there are not  very new but in Malaysia, they are quite new. Introducing the Naked line of Urban Decay cosmetics.

I have done quite a number of researches on the products - Naked Beauty Balm, Naked Basics and Naked Flushed. I wouldn't say they all work for everyone but I'd say, it's give-and-take. Some of us will love them while of course some of us will not like them at all. I guess it's all down to personal preference.

I have added three of those items into my wishlist and best of all, I have crossed out Naked Basics and Naked Flushed. Right now, I am still waiting for Naked Beauty Balm to be available in Sephora Malaysia.

In addition to the spring collection, I have also gotten one of the long-wanted item from Urban Decay.

Yes, it is the All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.

Urban Decay has released the setting spray with a whole new look of white and purple. I guess the new packaging looks more sleek and easier to travel with. Now, Sephora Malaysia has two sizes available if you would like to try it out - 30ml or 118ml with the prices of RM49 and RM109 respectively.

On my list, there are several items from Tarte Cosmetics that I really would like to try - well... Tarte always has creative and some kinda spring feel to their packaging.

I have really large pores on my cheeks so, if there is any primer that can minimize the appearance of my pores and makes my foundation lasts longer, I'm all in! So, one of these days, Imma gonna try Tarte Clean Slate Poreless and also Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation. Let's just say I need to use up my current products as of now, hence, I won't be getting these at the nearest time.

So, are there any spring products that you're looking forward to?

    Sephora Lacquer Nail Polishes

    *drums roll*

Yeah, baby, finally, I've set my hands on Sephora Lacquer Nail Polishes after going into Sephora numerous of times, trying out every single colour I could find from the shelves.

If you are not sure how these babies look like, here's a picture for your eyes.

The nail polishes basically look like those we have in the picture above and believe me or not, if you haven't been Sephora yet, you'll go crazy if you know there are like more than 20 colours to choose from!

Previously, I used to try on 10 different colours on all my fingers and I loved them all. If I could take off my shoes and paint my toe nails on the spot, I swear, I'd do so as well!

Anyway, after which I got to know that these babies retail at RM21 each, I changed my mind on purchasing them since I could get cheaper nail polishes at RM10 for 3 at our local night markets. Of course on the term of quality, you can't compare with those from Sephora but well... it just personal liking, I guess.

Last week, before I sent my cousin off to Burma for her long awaited expedition, she bought these nail polishes for me for my birthday!

I was surprise what she had in her hands and suddenly, she just passed it to me and said, "I don't know which colours you like so, I figured out you'll like these two since you're not the pink-type of girls."

I went hype and screamed when I saw these babies! You know, the feeling of not wanting to waste RM21 on one single bottle of nail polish and when someone gives it to you, you're over the moon!

Yes, that's right, that's my life for you! Best of all - I get free stuffs all the times courtesy of those around me who love me for who I am.

    LOLX!

Anyway... these are the two shades my cousins bought for me.

Full Moon Party, which is purple with shimmers and glitters.Santa is Coming, which is demure red without sparkles or glimmers but still shines. The texture of both shades is different. Full Moon Party tends to be more sticky due to the shimmers and glitters whereas Santa is Coming is more runny.

So, I guess you all know which shade applies easily, right?

The only thing I don't like about this product is the packaging. It is too small and the brush handle is too short hence, it is difficult to control the application of the product.

My cousin chose these two shades randomly and yeah, she made no mistakes because I like these two shades like totally!

Full Moon Party looks so nice from the bottle that I was tempted to try it out first. The first thing that came across my mind when I was applying the product was that this shade for sure would be opaque but I was wrong... It was semi opaque.

The finger on your left has two applications on whereas the finger on your right has only one application. You can be your own judge. No, don't judge the length of my nails because I broke my nails all the times!

I tried on Santa is Coming and immediately fell in love with the shade. With only one application, it looked opaque enough that you wouldn't need the second layer.

If you're wondering how long can these nail polishes last on your nails, I can't answer you because we go through different stuffs in life everyday.

If you're the type that do a lot of housework like cleaning, cooking, etc, etc, then, you can't expect a lot from all the nail polishes in the world. If you're that type that sit still and do nothing, perhaps, every nail polish you're applying will last around 1 to 2 weeks on your nails.

Perhaps, all of you are aware that if you want nail polishes to last longer, apply a base coat and then, your selected colours and top off with a top coat.

    Pros
A lot of shades to choose from!
    Cons
Inconsistent texture for all the shades. Quite expensive unless you have additional pocket money to spare. Packaging is too mini, difficult to control the brush.

    Price - RM21 each
    Product - 3 out of 5
    Packaging - 2.5 out of 5
    Availability - Sephora
Re-purchase - Erm... if I am filthy rich, yeah!

    Rendezvous of the week

My life has been pretty dull and boring lately.

Yeah, I know - I am a boring person by nature hence it explains why I am still single and hating it.

One of my cousins came from Sydney for a visit and I was really glad to see her since it probably has been more than 2 years since I last seen her. I actually forgot to take a picture with her but this time around, she brought me some birthday gifts all the way from Australia - my favourite Carmex lip balms and some perfumes too. Too bad no pictures taken because I was too busy sorting out my gifts.

Just before she left for her 7-month expedition to Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia, China and Europe, she handed me surprise gift from Sephora. Indeed, I was wondering what she got for me since she said she chose them randomly since she wasn't sure what to get for me.

My first nail lacquers from Sephora thanks to my dearest cousin!

Mum was asking, "How much does a bottle of the nail lacquer cost?"

I showed her the receipt and she went, "What?! RM21 for just one tiny bottle?!"

Yes, correct, RM21 for one bottle. I'd never bring myself to spend more than RM10 for a bottle of nail lacquer actually. Call me cheapskate but yeah, that's me!

After my cousin left for Burma, mum and my stupid brother brought me on a shopping spree. Yeah, I forgot to mention that my mum came for a visit.

She got me my long awaited sunscreen because according to her, it is high time that I start using sun protection products since I will hit 30 like, real soon. LOLX!

I actually chose another product - a moisturizer with SPF protection since I ran out of my Olay Moisturizer with SPF. Since I have another an additional moisturizer in my possession, I figured out I should at least finish it up but I need a sun protection product!

Stupid brother actually gave me RM100 voucher as my birthday present which I gave away RM50 voucher to mum and I was left with another RM50. Initially, I intended to use that voucher to exchange for some skincare products but stupid brother kept on hinting that I should buy more and get more vouchers! In the end, I spent RM207 to get the following skincare products and an additional RM30 vouchers.

RM207 for two products from Clinique.

So, there I had it, no birthday present from my brother this year! Craps!

Mr. Elder brother, if you're reading this, I want SKII Miracle Treatment Essence!!!

Anyway, he did bring mum and I for nice lunch at Ben's at KLCC though. Our experience there was kinda pleasant but mum noticed a great big rat ran across the floor as soon as she was seated! She told the staff about it and they kept on searching high and low for that rat!

Rat issue aside as of now. These are the pictures of the interior of Ben's at KLCC. Pictures were 'borrowed' from Drops of Contentment and Goody Foodies since I forgot to take them.

The atmosphere was quite comfortable and cozy! Mum enjoyed laying back on the sofa after lunch just to chat with us.

The menu was quite unique too.

    Something that looked like handwriting!

Okay, here are pictures of our orders of the day!

The soup paired with crusty and crunchy garlic bread tasted really good at Ben's. I mean, I am not that kinda person who is easily intrigued with mushroom soups served with garlic breads because I have eaten worst soups ever. This soup tasted buttery and it did smell good upon serving. The soup wasn't overly sticky or something like that but I did notice a generous portion of chopped mushrooms - which was good!

I don't usually order salads or stuffs like that when it comes to eating out. I mean, for that price that you're gonna pay, you can buy the ingredients and make 5 to 6 servings of salads at home!

Since it was my brother's treat and recommendation, I guess it was okay. Hahaha. Sorry that I am being a cheapskate again. It just happens randomly.

I truly enjoy Ben's House Salad. I've never tried avocado before and even though it did taste like butter, at least I knew it was healthier than butter. LOLX! The salad dressing was something I really like - couldn't figure out what dressing they used. Topped with sesame and edamame, I can only use one word to describe this dish - heavenly!

When this dish came, I was thinking, "Craps... how can they serve such a pathetic looking dish?!"

Honestly, it didn't taste as pathetic as it looked. Hahaha... I liked the taste of rice mixed with the fish roe. Nom, nom, nom... Topping salmon with sesame seeds is indeed a wise thing to do - crusty! Mum finished up the portion of salad that came with it.

We ordered Quiche Lorraine but I forgot to take picture of it since mum digged into the pie right as soon as it was served and I didn't make it to take picture of that dish. Hence, I 'stole' the picture from Goody Foodie.

Quiche has to be one of my favourite pies! I've had fair amount of quiches when I was with Starbucks and Ben's has tastier quiches! This pie had streaks of beef bacons and I loved it!

The final dish which came to us as a mistake and we ended up pushing it away because it was served wrongly and we only came to notice the wrong order after we digged into the pie!

Mum's Cottage Pie was superb. Mum was asking, "If I knew it was wrong order but it tastes good, I wouldn't send it away!"

She was right, when we digged into the pie, we saw a generous portion of beef. Since it was served hot, it tasted real good!

I guess I will be going to Ben's sometime next month or so. I am so broke this month!

If you're interested, here's the address.

    Ben's KLCC (opposite Harrods)

    Lot 140, 1st Floor,
    Suria KLCC
    Kuala Lumpur City Centre
    50088 Kuala Lumpur.
    Tel: +603-21631655

    Opening Hours: 10am-11pm

Fret not for those who don't want to be caught in traffic jam going to KLCC. There's another outlet opening at Publika Shopping Center, Sri Hartamas. If you're staying somewhere nearby Jalan Ipoh, Segambut, Kepong, Damansara, Mont Kiara or Sri Hartamas, you can opt for this outlet instead.

The weekend ended on Sunday and I sent mum off to the airport. I guess it'll  take another period of time before I get to see my parents again.

Anyway, I'm signing off from here. Remember to wish me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY  tomorrow since I am hitting late twenties on 10th April!

    Sephora again?!

Okay, I've gotta admit, I'm nuts about Sephora's official opening in Malaysia but hey... it's normal to feel so, right? I'm a typical product junkie especially when it comes to makeup products. Right, you have to smack me right in the face!

I've been to Sephora at least 3 times last week aside from Forever 21. The first 2 visits to Sephora were merely just feeling like going there without buying anything but the last visit there was to get something. Haha... It does seem to me that I'm someone with lotsa mixed feelings.

Anyway, I've gotta mark Sephora, Starhill as one of my HG hangouts now. Let's cross our fingers that when Sephora, KLCC opens, I won't be spending the rest of my weekends or holidays there. Should I? Let's leave that topic for another entry.

So, if you're still wondering of the prices of the products in Sephora, Malaysia, here you go, a further updated list, but still, it's better for you go check out the other products available there on your own, just in case, you'll grab few of them!

The prices of products from Benefit, Lancome, Biotherm, SKII, Estee Lauder, Smashbox, MUFE, Dior and the rest are the same as in Parkson or wheresoever within Malaysia. I remember seeing Lancome Teint Miracle being priced at RM130 at both Sephora and also Parkson, Pavilion. Hence, you know what I mean.

I was wrong about not being able to find Korres products - they're in! Exception for Korres, you can also find products from Pop Beauty, Pixie, bla, bla, bla... I can't remember everything. That proves I'm getting older and wiser. Hahaha.

Anyway, do correct me if I'm wrong!

    Check Sephora out, girls!

    Sephora Malaysia

I don't know about you but when I first heard Sephora is coming to Malaysia, I went, "Yay!" although stupid sister went, "Nay! You're obviously gonna overspend again when Sephora is officially open to the public!"

So, I marked 28th April 2011 in my personal calendar and even though I missed the grand opening, I managed to go there on the 29th. I thought of avoiding crowds of Sephora fans and it appeared that on 29th, when I was there, there were crowds everywhere in Sephora.

The thing is... before I went to Sephora, I thought the price should have been marked up like crazy since in Malaysia, everything is marked up. You don't have to agree with me but if you've been overseas, you'll know what I've said is true.

Take for example at Forever 21, the price of each piece of clothing can differ around RM10 to RM30. I saw a hoodie being sold for only 890 Baht, that is approximately RM89, whereas I saw the exactly same hoodie at RM119. So, you tell me, is the price being marked up? Talking about Forever 21, hey... I bought another top. Hahahaha... I went into F21 and grabbed the 2 pieces of top below into the fitting room but at the end of the shopping trip, I only bought one because I thought leopard print tops look horrendous on me!

A total waste of moo-lah. Hahahaha... but, I have a love affair with Forever 21, remember? I'm very much in love with their clothing, so don't hate me!

Alright, sorry to have diverted your attention.

Anyway, the first counter that I noticed upon entering Sephora at Starhill Gallery - Urban Decay! Yes, Urban Decay is finally in Malaysia and I won't need to wait months and months to get their products!

I wasn't expecting much of the prices of these makeup products in Sephora Malaysia to be cheap but I went there anyway - curiosity kills the cat but I am not dead, don't worry. In fact, I found myself surviving my wallet through the entire visit there. LOLX!

I spent on nothing because I'm trying to be a smart shopper nowadays. If I like a product, I won't buy it straight away. I'll leave it and if I crave and crave for it for the next few days, I'll go back and get it but if I don't crave for it, I normally will leave it.

When I saw the prices of Urban Decay products, I almost screamed! No, it wasn't because the prices are marked up! No, no, no! The reason was that the prices are so much cheaper than I expected them to be!

Remember the entry when I blogged about UD Naked?

I got it for RM200 exclusive of poslaju. The thing is... I thought RM200 is kinda hefty for a palette but since UD wasn't available in Malaysia yet that time, I thought it'd worth it but when I come to think of that now, RM210 plus poslaju for a single palette is not worth it at all even though I do understand international shipping isn't cheap.

Sighs... I wasted RM35 for this palette because you know what? It retails at Sephora Malaysia for only RM175!

Even for UDPP, I saw the prices online range from around RM65 to RM100 - not UDPP in tube since it's not available in Sephora Malaysia. I expected it to be around RM80 to RM90 but it's much cheaper!

Hey, that isn't so bad, right?

Okay, enough about UD, let's see what else Sephora Malaysia brought in aside from the infamous UD...

Basically, you can find quite a lot of new stuffs ranging from Ardell Lashes, Bare Minerals, Too Faced, Clarisonic, Peter Thomas Roth, Soap & Glory and also Makeup by Sephora. There are also bath and shower as well as skincare products by Sephora in store. Other brands like SKII, Biotherm, Lancome, Smashbox, Makeup Forever, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla are also available but well, these brands are nothing new to us.

Only then, I realized NARS, Tokidoki, Temptu, Philosophy, Tarte, Illamasqua, Kat Von D, YSL and a lot of other brands are not available in our Sephora. I'm actually burning to get Tarte and Kat Von D products but well... the good thing is, I can forget about them for a while until they're available while the bad thing is, I don't think they'll be available at the nearest time.

Anyway, if you're wondering about the prices of the makeup and skincare products there, I managed to remember some of them roughly but mostly UD products since they're my pure love!

    UD Naked Palette - RM75 <-- Sorry, I've made a mistake, it's RM175
    UD Ammo Palette - RM145
UD Sustainable Shadow Box - RM145
UD Deluxe Shadow Box - RM145
    UDPP - RM65 to RM75
    UD 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil - RM75
    UD Eyeshadow - RM69
    UD Deluxe Eyeshadow - RM70 to RM80

Too Faced Shadow Insurance - RM65 to RM75
Too Faced Naked Eye Palettes - RM150 to RM180

    Sephora Foundation - RM55
    Sephora Highlighter / Bronzer - RM50 to RM55

I can't really remember Too Faced products prices because I took a look at the Naked Eye palette and thought, "Bah, too expensive and so little choices!" I went from one item to another at Too Faced's counter and found myself not awed by any, I don't know why. Well, it could be the price, I guess... I mean, comparing to UD and personal preference, I still think UD is more worth it.

Well, I'll update the price list if I'm passing by Sephora again in future. As of now... gonna get some nap before work time later!

Have a wonderful Thursday and as for tomorrow, it's TGIF!

    Swatches and reviews!

Update - NYX products can now be bought at Colours Cosmetics if you are from Malaysia and Singapore!

Hahaha... a procrastinator I am, indeed!

I should be resuming with my Chapter 4 and 5 but right now, here I am, blogging - the case of being too self-proclaimed free.

Since I'm so freaking 'free,' I shall do more swatches and reviews of the eye palettes and also lips products in my possession so that if you guys are interested, you can go ahead and get some for yourselves.

    NYX Glitter Cream Palette

I guess this is not something you'd use on everyday basis but it's pretty handy to keep a glitter palette in your collection just case you'd need it.

The glitters aren't so smooth as I've thought they'd be exception for the last colour, it turns out REALLY smooth and applies so easily as being compared to it's other counterparts.

My palette is called The Bronze Goddess, hence, I'm not sure if the same thing applies to the other palettes as well.

These glitters can be removed easily using your makeup remover or even just your facial cleanser alone, hence I guess it's not so bad. Then again, you'll be needing a good base for these glitters to stick on so that they won't transfer everywhere on your face.

    Product - 3 out of 5
    Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - NYX Cosmetics, Cherry Culture, Nonpareil Boutique
    Re-purchase - Maybe

NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit

I have this palette for a while now and I guess it'll take another while for me to finish using every single colour in the palette. Well, it's not impulsive buy but at that point of time I was contemplating if I should get Naked or not, so, I went ahead and got this instead.

Honestly, I don't regret getting this because for me, this palette is great for everyday natural look but lemming towards budget beauty category. Hey, it's like a quarter of Naked's price!

I used Stage's eyeshadow primer as a base for the swatches and the swatches were done with 20% wet fingers for more intense colour pay-offs.

This time around, I finally tried the 2 lip glosses that came along with the palette. Previously, I didn't want to stain it or anything because I thought I should just keep them there but, who's gonna use them if I just leave them there?

The answer is - ME, obviously!

Sorry for the oily face. Hahaha... I just realized I have V-shaped face. LOLX!

    Product - 4 out of 5
    Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - NYX Cosmetics, Cherry Culture, Nonpareil Boutique
    Re-purchase - Yes

NYX For Your Mysterious Brown Eyes

I bought this palette on impulse because I fell in love with the green colour. Err... okay, it's great for everyday look too but with a tinge of green and purple.

If I were to compare this to Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit, I'd prefer the previous one than this palette.

The colours aren't as pigmented as the other kit but nevertheless, for it's price, you can't complain. This is so much cheaper than Maybelline's or L'Oreal eyeshadows at our local drugstores.

    Product - 2.5 out of 5
    Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - NYX Cosmetics, Cherry Culture, Nonpareil Boutique
    Re-purchase - No

    Urban Decay Naked Palette

As what I've said earlier, I shouldn't be splurging on Naked but it was the best buy ever! I mean, I've never spent so much on eyeshadows and NOT regretting getting it. I bet if I let it passed back then, I'd be squirming with regrets now.

Pigmentations are of great pay-offs! Then again, the eyeshadows are so smooth and blendability is high too!

Swatches are done with Stage's eyeshadow primer as base. There's NO way I'm gonna waste my UDPP for swatches! Hahaha...

From left to right - Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal, Whiskey & Zero

If you're contemplating to get either NYX Nude on Nude Natural Look Kit or Urban Decay Naked Palette, get UD's Naked take a look at the swatches for both palettes below!

They're pretty much similar and the plus point is that with Naked, the colours are of better quality and you get like 4 extra colours and also the shades are almost FULL-SIZED to normal UD's eyeshadows!

    Product - 5 out of 5
    Packaging - 5 out of 5
Availability - Urban Decay, ULTA, Sephora
    Re-purchase - Yes

Hopefully this palette will be available to all Malaysian babes since Sephora will be opening soon! Yay!

Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadows & Pigments

The colours I've gotten are Narcotic and Chronic. Well, the picture says it all. I've never really purchased single eyeshadows on it's own before but, these are great buys, I me

Pigmentation is nothing to shout about since I personally think they're a bit sheer comparing to every shade in Naked Palette.

I swatched UD's Loose Pigments in Baked for ya'll too. I'm loving this pigments but I hate the packaging! It's like whenever I take it out, instead of landing on my eyelids, these pigments are all over the place! But.. but... RM13.40 only, can I complain?

    Packaging - 3 out of 5
    Availability - Urban Decay
    Re-purchase - Yes

Jesse's Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dusts

The shades I've gotten are Blackstar Blue and also Blue Moon. Penny Arcade and Secret Weapon belong to stupid sister. I don't know where she has put it, so I can't swatch for you guys.

The colours are beautiful, believe me!

A little goes a long way! I have yet to really test out the colours on my eyes but from swatches, they look great. Perhaps, I should be using this for my next outing!

I intend to get more of these if there should be more sprees for Jesse's Girl's products.

    Product - 3 out of 5
    Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - Jesse's Girl Cosmetics, Rite Aid
    Re-purchase - Definitely, YES!

    MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo

If you've been following my blog, you'll know this is my first ever MAC eyeshadow!

I'm not sure about the rest of you but I do like this eyeshadow but to the certain point only. I live the taupe colour but NOT the gold colour.

The taupe side is smooth but for the gold side, it feels chalky. It could be due to the glitters in it. Luckily I did not make another impulsive buy on their other Mineralize Eyeshadows. Perhaps I should try their other eyeshadows.

Let's decide in time to come.

Oh, ya... the white swatch is from NYX The Ultimate Pearl Shadow. Refer to later pictures for more reviews.

    Product - 3 out of 5
    Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - MAC Cosmetics or any MAC outlets

    NYX The Ultimate Pearl Shadow

I got the colour White Pearl and loving it. LOLX! This eyeshadows come in pretty handy especially if you wanna brighten up your inner eyes or even if you wanna make your eyes look like there's 3D effect or something like that!

On top of that, it can be used as highlighter too!

    I love it!

I doubt if you can still find it elsewhere because I heard this line will be stopped, I don't know if the news is true or not. Swatch is earlier in this entry. Roll your cursor up!

    Product - 4 out of 5
    Packaging - 4 out of 5
    Availability - NYX Cosmetics
    Re-purchase - Definitely, YES!

    Shiseido Maquillage Eyes Creator 3D

The shade I've gotten is in BR356 and it retails at RM160 if I'm not mistaken. Best of all, I didn't spend a single penny on this palette as this is a Christmas present in 2009 from my heartless brother.

Wait... Stupid sister, heartless brother - they rhymes! Hahahaha...

I'm still very much in love with this aside loving my UD's Naked. Well... it's a complete palette, no mistake. It comes with additional shimmers if you love shimmer and yeah, with gel liner as well!

If I'm done with all the colours in this palette, I'm gonna go and get refills!

    Product - 4.5 out of 5
    Packaging - 4 out of 5
    Availability - Any Shiseido's counters
    Re-purchase - Definitely, YES!

    Lip Glosses and Colours Mania!

I've been stocking up on my lip glosses and colours lately even though I have a tonnes of them in my collection already. Well, Stage is having sales and sprees are irresistible, alright?!

Lemme show you part of what I have and digging!

The first picture is taken with flash while the second one is without flash.

I guess I'm a collector. Hahaha... not a garbage collector yet!

    Anyway, off to sleep!

    UD's BOS III

    It's almost here!

My UD BOS III is almost here!!!

I can't wait for my BOS III to get to me this coming mid of October. Gosh, I really can't wait for that day to come!

If you don't know what UD BOS III is... It stands for Urban Decay Book of Shadows III.

If you still don't have a single idea on what it is again, it's basically a limited edition of eyeshadows, pencil liners together with a UDPP from Urban Decay.

    In an easier term - it's make-up!

Call me a late-bloomer but I don't really mind. I've missed out on the previous three edition of these Book of Shadows from Urban Decay and there's no way I could get them in the market now unless there's someone who's willing to let go what they have for me.

I totally adore Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows but by the time I realized it, UD has stopped the production of this BOS. Well, it's a limited edition after all.

Then again, I love the packaging of BOS I but too bad I can't get it now.

By the way, all BOS-es are limited editions that are available only for a certain period of time, just in case you are not aware of it.

Well, at least for now, I managed to get BOS III thanks to my dearest friend again, who went all the way to Sephora to get this for me!

BOS III has the theme of New York City when the lid is flipped open as shown in the picture. Okay, if you're a fan of NYC, go get this when it's still in stock!

Sephora has ran out of them for quite some times. I even waited two to three times for them to restock this BOS and it's a collector's item if you don't know!

Pretty, isn't it? OMG... I really can't wait to try it out and share the swatches with all the make-up lovers out there!

BOS III is totally a collector's item for this season - no joke!

Anyway, I shall say less for now. Will talk about it again when the item gets to me in October. Meanwhile, ciao and have a nice day!

*pictures credit to Jo because she helped me to get this palette from Sephora.
