MUA Professional Eyes Primer

This is a backdated entry.

I was supposed to blog about the MUA Professional Eyes Primer since last year but then again, since I procrastinated too much, I ended up doing this entry now. It has been a long delay and I think I have already used up half of this primer now.

When I first got this primer, I wasn't expecting much because firstly it's only £1 and secondly, at that point when I got it, there were not a lot of reviews available on it. If you're getting it, you're paying £1 for 7.5ml worth of product.

I'd say this product is a bang for buck!

Before I own this primer, I have been using UDPP all these times and I have to admit, I am not really fascinated or awed by it no matter how many people tell me how good UDPP is. I tried to love it because it is quite expensive but still, up to this day, I find myself not reaching out for it as much while as for the MUA Professional Eyes Primer, perhaps it is already a habit of mine to reach for it whenever I am applying eye make-up.

The primer itself comes in one shade - neutral.

It feels very smooth and believe it or not, it glides over the eyes smoothly and easily. It could be due to the soft texture.

I wasn't expecting the primer to perform really well but when I swatched it on the back of my hand, I was very certain the texture of this product is similar to UDPP exception on the fact that it is a little smoother and softer.

I tried placing my hand under the running tap water and surprise, surprise, the eyeshadow is still there!

I've gotta admit I adore this product so much that I had to ask for a friend's help to purchase 2 more from UK. Yes, I am going to get these primers real soon!

Like usual, I have to test it out to know the longevity of the primer. Hence, my task is to wear any eyeshadows over the primer for 8 hours - when is the best time to fully doll yourself up? My answer would always be - going to work!

So, for few days in a row, I wore this primer with eyeshadows over it and what else can I say?

It lasts for about 5 to 6 hours. I mean, look at it this way, UDPP creases on me and truth be told, this primer does crease also but it's only a fraction of UDPP's price!

What is there not to like?

Pros

  • Cheap

  • Works! It's just like my UDPP!

  • Smooth and easy to apply

  • Cons

  • Not available locally

  • This is one of the product I wish everyone would be able to at least try and judge on their own but somehow, it is so difficult to get hold of locally.

    Has anyone tried this before?

    MUA without the H

Yeah, it is spelt as MUA without the H, hence, no kisses.

    LOLX!

If you don't know what MUA stands for, it is actually Make Up Academy in short and all the products from MUA retails at £1 each. If you are unsure, here's the link to MUA products sold at Superdrug.

Don't rub your eyes just yet... it is £1 only for each and every MUA products but alas they are not available in Malaysia and I guess they never will be available in our local market.

So... I managed to grab three products from MUA courtesy of Amy - thank you so much, BFF!

So, I bought two eyeshadows and one blusher from MUA. Initially, I wanted more than just these three products because I was being greedy but I ended up getting three only since I figured out I have like too many unused and unfinished products in hand. I know, scary, right?

Anyway, here are close up shots of the products.

Aren't they gorgeous? LOLX! Look at the purple and green!!! I haven't really been using purples or greens much but one of my 2012 resolutions is to use more colourful eyeshadows.

Even the blusher looks so could you almost can eat it!

    Hahaha...

So, let's do the swiping now!

Before you comment the product sucks or anything, bear in mind that I only swipe gently because like usual, I don't like to waste products so... if the swiping was done gently, I bet you know what the result is.

Honestly with only £1 or approximately RM5 for each product, I am quite impressed. I mean, yeah, for sure you can find something similar in Daiso but still, I am not buying Daiso's makeup products. LOLX! No offense though.

    Pros
Quite pigmented - good colour pay off for the eyeshadows and blusher. £1 well-paid with decent amount of product in each packaging.

    Cons
Packaging is cheap - plastic, very plastic! Not available locally.
I don't know about any of you liking products from MUA but for sure I kinda like them for their prices. Hahaha. Decent price with decent amount!

    Price - £1 each
    Product - 3 out of 5
    Packaging - 2 out of 5
    Availability - Superdrug
Re-purchase - Probably some of the other products

Hopefully Amy will be back soon again so that I can get more of MUA products to try out. LOLX!

** Product is bought using my own moo-lah, I am not sponsored or anything.

    Be-early CNY surprises

Whatever the reason is, I think blogspot doesn't like me. Just look at the disorientated uploaded pictures! Cacat, I know, right? Anyway... it doesn't really matter much though.

Two weeks ago, I went to pick up my parcel at the post office

I was thoroughly surprised to see my belated Christmas present! LOLX! Guess what came in the parcel?

    It's this baby!

NYX Haute Jersey Leopard Culture! No joke, no joke! I was mad in love with the packaging the first time I saw it because I love anything gold because I am materialistic.

The moment I unboxed and opened it, again, I fell in love...

Isn't it gorgeous? Packed with 24 eyeshadows, 3 bronzers, 2 blushes, 1 highlighter and 2 lip glosses, how can you resist it? You can actually take this baby with you for a short trip without having to worry you don't bring enough makeup products.

I have not try out the eyeshadows or anything in the palette yet, so, I can't comment much as for now. Yes, no mistake, I have been exceptionally busy with my asshole thesis that almost takes 20 out of 24 hours of my everyday life. Even when I dream, I dream of my thesis!

Anyway, shan't talk about my thesis much here because... bestie came back from Glasgow just recently and look what she has brought back for me!

At first glance, you'll be thinking, what kinda packaging is that - yellow and blue - looks so transformer-ish. LOLX! Hahahaha...

When I took out the bar inside, OMG... it's from Lush!!!

And the soap is called Angels Delight - no wonder! Me Delight, Angels Delight, geddit, geddit?

I am so, so grateful because I've been dying to get my hands on Lush products for so damn long already but well... financial problems forever hold me back!

    Now, I can haz Lush!

    Thank you so much, BFF!!!

Other that Lush, I did ask her to get several stuffs for me. I bet you girls are gonna drool over it soon! Hahaha.

Drooling yet? You know what? The MUA eyeshadows are gorgeous and best of all, they're retailing for 1 pound each at leading UK drugstores.

No swatches or anything yet because I am still busy trying to straighten things out!

Now, the highlight of the day!

The long awaited Sleek Primer Palette!

I'm gonna end abruptly as for now because I am damn sleepy.

    Goodnight, people!
