Part 3

I was really feeling so touched when Alice left a comment in my previous entry. At the same time, she also wrote an entry on how she felt being an XS as well as being in size S now.

Thanks, kakak, for always being there regardless of how annoying I was, going on and on about my weight issue.

Life is not easy when you are being labeled as "the fattest kid on the block." Even if you try to ignore those stupid people, they'll still call you some idiotic names like "gorilla," "king kong," "si tua pui," "gemuk," "oil tong" or stuffs like that.

I've been through the times when friends, relatives or even strangers called me all those names. Yes, I was frustrated. I believe no soul would ever wanted to be called such names, especially if you're a girl.

Mana maruah diri if people are to label you with such names?

Yes, I used to be the fattest kid on the block and some people kinda hated and picked on me. Thing didn't help much when I was already fat and people think I was ugly. To add salt to injury, I felt so fugly back then and I went through everyday like living hell.

With a picture like above, how would someone not say I'm so fucking ugly? You tell me.

I used to cry at nights because my life back then during high school was really terrible. People made fun of me, people despise me, people looked down on me... JUST BECAUSE I WAS FAT.

There was once, few ex-classmates of mine made fun of me. Initially, they were supposed to be jokes but those stupid jokes ended up making me crying like mad that I didn't want to go to school after that.

Situation 1

Idiot A: Do you guys know why Angel can pass her Maths this term?
Idiot B: You did her paper for her?
Idiot A: No, I didn't! I found out that fat girl copied my paper during exam!
Idiot B: Typical fat and lazy people!
Idiot A: You see she was sitting behind me during exam, so it's possible!

Okay, true enough I was sitting behind Idiot A but I wasn't sitting DIRECTLY behind him. How did I copy his Maths paper when it is almost impossible for one to copy another one's Maths' steps to getting correct answers?

Even if I got the answers correct but I didn't get the steps correct, I wasn't even able to score one mark for my Maths. Furthermore, I didn't even pass my Maths paper at that time! It was just that idiotic Idiot A spread false rumour about me. I got a 17% out of 100%.

Our Maths' teacher accidentally heard it and demanded an explanation from Idiot A.
Idiot A: She copied my paper!
Mr. K: Angel, did you copy his paper?
Me: No, I didn't and I swear I didn't.
Mr. K: Do you know I can send you to the office if you're lying?
Me: I.did.not.
I still remember the looks on Idiot A and B's faces to this very day.

Situation 2
Idiot B: You know Angel is actually not-that-fat.
Idiot A: Yes, she's obese in fact!
Idiot B: Have you guys ever thought that she might be pregnant?
Idiot A: She? Pregnant? She's so fat, cannot get pregnant.
Idiot B: I think she's pregnant.
Okay, now, our form teacher overheard it and she called me to the office during break time that day. She wanted me to tell her the truth.
Miss R: I heard people said you're pregnant.
Me: (shocked) No, how can I get pregnant?
Miss R: I've heard stories about you, hanging out with guys...
Me: No, I did not!
Miss R: Angel, I might need to send you off to the discipline teacher if you continue on lying.
I insisted I did not hang out with guys nor did I get myself pregnant at the age of 18. Then, Miss R told me to go back to my class. Little did I expect the discipline teacher, Mdm. C to call my mum. It so happened that Mdm. C and mum were best friends.
Mum: Mdm. C told me some classmates said you're pregnant. What happened?
Me: I am not pregnant and I did not have sex.
Mum: Now, girl, you'd better come clean with me.
Me: I swear mum, I swear with my life.
Mum, upon seeing me crying, finally believed it was just a rumour n those idiotics made it big because they wanted to make my life miserable. I cried for two to three nights and refused to go to school because of that but I still had to go.

Situation 3
Idiot C: Do you think Angel, The Fat Girl next door has a crush on you?
Idiot D: Yes, I think she has a crunch on Ray.
Ray: Stop your nonsense, she was just being nice.
Idiot C: Ray, OMG, you've fallen for that fat girl?
Idiot D: You're going to be Mr. Fat Guy if you like her!
Ray: Enough!
It was at the same time I passed by that class and I heard what Idiot C and D said about me and I was so fucking furious that I entered their class and I shouted at them right into their face, "If you think you have balls, bitch about me in front of me and not behind me!"

Idiot C and D shut their mouths for a while but after that, another friend of mine who was in the same class as them told me that they continued bitching about me.

I had no relation to Idiot C and D in any situations. I didn't know them well, I never talked to them n I never even looked at them during my schooling years. Then, I found out that they picked on me because I was fat, ugly and looked weak.

Situation 4
Aunt M: Just look at my daughter - she's so beautiful in the dress I've make for her.
Uncle M: Yes, my daughter is the prettiest.
Dad: (keeps quiet)
Uncle M: I don't think your daughter will be seen in such a nice dress like my daughter ever because she's so fat.
Aunt M: (laughing and mocking) Yes, your daughter will never fit into nice clothes.
I was geram. I knew dad was geram because as much as he wanted to fight back for me, he needed to respect my Aunt and Uncle M because they were elder.

# # # # # # # # # #

There was once another idiot who said something like, "She's so damn fat, so guarantee cannot get married and she's going to be alone all her life! Fat, ugly, lonely and pathetic!"

That was a girl. I got so damn irritated with that girl.

If I could choose, people, I didn't want to be a 91kg person...

If I could choose, people, I didn't want to be fat...

If I could choose, people, I didn't want to be called a fatty...

If I could choose, people, I want to be slim and slender too...

I didn't ask to be born fat or ugly. I didn't ask to be born a loser. I didn't ask to be born a pathetic soul. I didn't ask to be born weak. In fact I wasn't born fat...

I was like any normal child. I used to be underweight and refused to eat but there was a point of time, because of hormonal changes and depressions, my appetite grew and my size increased.

At that point of time, all I wanted was to have people around me to accept me for who I was and not because of my appearance. I tried my hardest to please people but they still accept me for who I was because I was F-A-T.

Fat people is lazy...
Fat people is clumsy...
Fat people is very stupid...

Those were the thoughts that people around me used to relate to me.

Do they ever realize how many liters of tears I could have collected from all those years of crying because people looked down on me?

Do they ever realize how miserable I was during my high school years just because I was fat?

Fat people deserve chances like any other people too! They are human beings as well and they have feelings. You don't like to be looked down at and fat people don't want to be looked down at as well.

Part 2

There are times when I wake up in the morning and wonder why is life so unfair. Some people get to eat a lot without the worries of gaining weight but for me, even with the tiniest consumption of liquid, my weight will shoot up.

I was out with Belle and Melissa 4 months ago and I was telling them one day that I'd go psycho just thinking about this issue...

Aku pun mahu saiz S...

I want to be a S-sized person but I don't think I can even achieve this dream this lifetime - in which this is totally sad...

Some people could never understand the hardship that people like us have to go through in order to lose weight. Instead of supporting us, they go around, laughing their jaws off and making fun of us because our weight. I HATE THOSE PEOPLE...

People like me didn't ask to be born this way... I've always wanted to look as good as any other people but what can I do about it? I tried hard enough but the weight just wouldn't budge at all... This is so fucking depressing...

Why am I have to be the one going through this thing?

My love affair...

Hi guys... I'm back to blogosphere on a wonderful Saturday morning as promised. Life hasn't been treating me so well lately... I've so many stuffs to do, so little time and yet I'm procrastinating like hell...

Excited, right? Excited, right? Excited, right?

I'm referring to the title of this entry...

Now, I'm going to present to the love story of my life...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH OREO.

Since my early childhood years, I heard about Oreo but I didn't see it anywhere in supermarkets at Sibu and I wasn't so excited about it as well because although I love chocolates, chocolate cookies are ain't my thing.

I think the first time I ate these cookies was like... a year ago. A friend of mine was telling me how nice these cookies were and that she loved it to the maximum. I was hesitating if I should get them or not because honestly it wasn't cheap a year ago or even is it cheap now.

Let's see... I bet you've heard about a lot of ways to eat these cookies, right? The typical me only like one of those ways. Let me show you how I like my Oreos to be eaten...

First, you'll need these two...

Not all of the people out there like HL Low Fat Milk but I love it because of the vanilla-y taste. I think the taste blends well the Oreo cookies.

Then, get a piece of the cookies and be ready to dunk it in the milk like this...

After that... yes, dip and dunk it into the milk to soften the cookies...

The cookies look so beautiful dipped in the milk, right? In fact, I was having some just a while ago for breakfast - okay, don't hate me for that.

The final step...

Cut the crap and eat up your cookies for goodness sake! Hahaha... Sorry that I look like so damn fugly in the picture above - the case of getting not enough sleep...

Okay, that's it about my love affair with Oreo. I know I'm kinda late if I want to submit a video for the competition held like few months back but I'm not doing the video or anything.

At the end of the day...

You must love Oreo cookies, guys! They're like one of the nicest cookies available in the market!

Naili's Place

I wasn't really aware to this place although it's located somewhere nearby where I'm staying right now. Me brother has been mentioning about Naili's Place on and off but I paid no attention to him until I read a review about this particular place and finally, I've made up my mind that I need to get my big butt there one of these days!

So, my wish was granted when me brother has finally brought me there for dinner like 5 hours ago - I'm so proud of myself right now to be sitting here and blog about Naili's Place because this is like my fastest attempt to update my blog as soon as I got home after a long day.

The ambiance there is really so damn nice I tell you! It is really awesome! You'll feel like you've gone overseas just to get your butt in a restaurant like Naili's - I'm not lying! You see, I'm playing to arrange a birthday bash for a friend of mine at Naili's some time on this month because I've totally fallen in love with the ambiance there!

So, for this entry, I'll give the ambiance a different rate...

Well, that's the maximum star! 10 out of 10 - what do you expect? The ambiance is superb - suitable for friends and family! Guess what? Naili's is catering for birthday parties, meetings and stuffs like that!

Okay, lemme refresh you on what we've ordered for dinner...

~ Temasik Rice Special - RM12.90 ~

~ Cantonese Style Fried Kueh Tiao with Beef - RM10.90 if I'm not mistaken ~

~ Mermaid - RM8.90 ~

~ Rainbow Tree - RM8.90 ~

The food itself at Naili's Place has nothing to shout about because honestly, I'd say you can actually find these food like anywhere, any corner within Malaysia or maybe out of Malaysia too. The service isn't very good too because the place is like tooooooo damn spacious so, the waiters and waitresses couldn't see us!

This is my review on the food at Naili's Place...

Other than that, I would not make further remark because I think it's definitely worth paying this place a visit because of it's really scenic view at night and the ambiance as well...

The trip to Sunway Lagoon...

Life's been pretty hectic lately. Honestly, I'm not really sure what I've been busy with but then, I feel like I don't have a life at this moment of time. Let's forget about that for the time being and lemme refresh you about the trip that we made to Sunway Lagoon.

Actually I should have posted this entry up like 2 months ago but since I was pretty occupied with lots of stuffs, I kinda forgotten all about it. Wait, wait, wait... it doesn't mean Imma super free because I'm able to do this entry now... Aih, I better finish this entry before I go on and on about how busy I am now...

The last time I was went to Sunway Lagoon was like 12 years ago with my family. The most lasting impression that I've gotten from that visit was that my parents persuaded me brother and I to go up the pirate ship and halfway through, I was crying for the guy to stop the ship because I was so scared.

Basically, I went there with Wendy and her siblings. Then again, our kakak, Aminah Too, made a surprise show up because initially she told us she wasn't able to join us due to something. Well, I was really glad to see her honestly but being typical Aminah Too, she was late that day. So, while waiting for her grand entrance, Wendy and I filled up our time by doing something...

Our first stop was...

To be honest with you guys, I'm not much of an adventurous person, so when Wendy mentioned to be that we're going up on a slider that'll slide all the way down, my heart was thumping so fast that I could feel it jumping out of it's original position! Despite being so damn scared, I braced myself up to join her...

TMD... I couldn't even scream when the slider slided down. My eyes were tightly closed and all that I could feel at that point of time was that I was going to faint... Hahaha... Okay, I admit... I'm a cowardly person.

After that, we went ahead to play the-round-thing - err... I can't remember what it is called but I can just refer it as the-round-thing that go round and round like this...

Then, Wendy and I camwhored a bit while waiting for Aminah Too... She was late alright...

Thus, after the camwhoring session, Aminah Too made her grand entrance into Sunway Lagoon. Haha... Typical Aminah Too...

Believe it or not, people, I went up the pirate ship with Aminah Too!!! Yikes... I couldn't believe that I actually went up the pirate ship!!! Shit... it was scary alright - scarier than the slider thing!

My heartbeat almost stopped when the whole ship rotated 360 degrees... Gosh... I felt like I was going to fall off my seat anytime because I couldn't help but to feel so not secured on the ship. My gawd... I was so brave already can...

*pats self*

We went to the wet park after that. Well, technically wet park means getting yourself wet so, sorry, no pictures were taken because we didn't bring our cameras into the wet park since we didn't want to spoil our beloved cameras.

Then again, after we've taken our baths and changed into dry clothings, we camwhored away for once again - this time with Aminah Too...

Muahahaha... there... that marks the end of this entry... Enjoy the new week ahead of you, people!

Green Tea Chorella Instant Noodles

Throughout my three years at KL, I think I've consumed more instant noodles than any other things besides fast food. Instant noodles have become one of my best foodie friends.

Just recently, me brother bought few packets of Green Tea Chorella Instant Noodles for me and he brought them all the way from Sibu. It's not that you can't find one here at KL but there is price difference - around RM1 I'd say.

Hahaha... I was first attracted to it before because never in my life have I seen instant noodles green in colour! Yes, when I say green, I mean really G-R-E-E-N! Okay, I might sound a little too outdated but then, in Sibu, it's not likely you can find green-coloured noodles!

When you opened the packet, this is what you'll see...

Well, for me, there's nothing special with the noodles or so because it looks like any other instant noodles out there.

So, instead of just cooking the noodles with the seasoning... here, this is what I've added...

Haha... Yes, above is my serving suggestion. Well, it tastes normal - nothing to shout about. That's why I'm not going to review it or so. If you're interested, you can also check it out because it's easily available at Jusco or Cold Storage.

A surprise entry

Note: This entry is written upon a request from a friend.

A friend for me is...

Someone whom I can always depend on,
Someone whom I can always go to for advices,
Someone who is willing to offer helping hands...

All in all, a friend means more than just all the above. A friend is always willing to go an extra mile to brighten your day.

I bet this entry will be kind of a surprise for this friend of mine whom I am going to mention later on.

Looking back, I come to realization that we've known each other for more than 6 years now (and still counting) but never in my blogging life have I mentioned anything about him before. Haha... Okay, I admit, I'm kinda heartless but then again, I don't think he needs my help to promote himself because he's always been popular that's why there are people who want me to do an entry about him.

Okay, let's see... this friend of mine is very special, yes, special in his own ways because...

1. He loves to pose...

2. Again, posing is in his list...

3. He loves to make funny faces...

Despite of all those above statements, can you believe it that he's shy? Yes, very shy as in SHY but it's italicized shy. Hehe... You should have gotten what I'm trying to say if you guys know him.

~ Candid shot by Lydia with me sitting beside ~

And now, put your hands together and let's welcome this shy guy. Lemme introduce to you to the greatest friend of all - Chung Siang!

Basically, we knew each other like 6 years ago and it was through internet. Well, don't ask me how did I get to know him because honestly, I can't remember since my memory deteriorates with passing time. I only got to meet him like two years after I've known him but before that did we exchange pictures? Err... I can't remember...

So, in June 2005, I finally met Chung Siang in person after all those years of chatting, emailing and SMS-ing each other. I went through my photo albums and found a picture taken with him back then.

~ June 2005 - Yours truly and Chung Siang ~

Shaddup!

I know some of you are laughing non-stop now because I used to look so FAT and RETARDED back then in 2005. I used to be so FUGLY and now, I'm pretty ugly!

Now you can throw eggs at my ugliness! Ah, I always got diverted whenever I talk about myself. Let's move on...

I remember, during the first half year I was in university, Chung Siang was the only friend I always turned to. Okay, you guys might wonder how did I turn to him when I was at KL while he was at Kuching? Well, easy - there's a gadget called mobile phone! Haha... Lame. He would call occasionally and asked how was my life in university and at the same time, telling me jokes after jokes to cheer my days.

After my visit to Kuching in June, Chung Siang came to Sibu for a visit somewhere in November. Well, he was so lucky because I was around to bring him around. Hahaha... I'm good at rhyming. I introduced him to a few close friends of mine.

Mr. Chung Siang, you remember the dinner at Sibu Esplanade, right?

This guy told my friends all the stories of my embarrassing moments when we first met in June. Aiks... I was so damn embarrassed lor because after I sent him back to his cousin's place, Melissa came to me and asked, "You really did that?"

So damn paiseh until I've to wear a mask to go out for a week...

But then, the good thing about Chung Siang is that after he kinda made me mad, he'd always call and apologize - something like, "Sorry, I was just pulling your legs."

Since I was and am vulnerable to apologies, as everyone knows, I never got mad at him of course because I was and am such a nice person. Hahaha... Laugh all you can. How to get mad with such a cute friend like Chung Siang? Haha... He'd make me smile and laugh again after that.

Ah, haha... But then, don't be fooled by that so-called innocent-looking face of his. Looks can be deceiving, you know? Hiaks, hiaks, hiaks... Chung Siang gossips as much as a lady. Putting it in another way, he talks a lot - truly a lot. Not to say gepo but then, he just talks a lot because first of all, everyone agrees that he's a smooth-talker and secondly, he just possesses the power of persuasion.

Then again, in the same year of December, courtesy of Lydia a.k.a. Mrs. Chung Lin, I went to Kuching - yes, for once again. This time, I made Chung Siang bring me everywhere. Hiaks...

~ December 2005 - CS and I ~

Enough say about our stories, let's see... this friend of mine has been a place where I seek advices, be it in the past or even now. He's been a very supportive friend during those years when I finally broke down because I went through depressions after depressions of being looked down at because of my weight issue.

Years have gone by now when I look back on the first day we got to meet each other... Technically, it means I'm getting old. Haha...

Anyway, Chung Siang, if you're reading this, I'm very grateful to have a friend like you!

Mid Autumn Festival

Boy, the name of the festival itself sounds so romantic... It surely sets the mood for romance. While everyone gets to celebrate this day with family, friends or even loved ones, I guess I'll be pretty much alone like any usual days...

Yes, I'm all alone on this day because first of all, roomie went back to hometown, then again, me brother surely will go on a date with da sao tomorrow, in which he said I'm sooooo annoying that he's decided not to bring me along.

Guess I'll be singing...

Lonely, I'm Mr. Miss Lonely...
I have nobody...
I'm on my own...

Shit, I sound so desperate!

No, I'm not alone actually. I still have my Whitey and Little Blackie, in which they're my hamsters, to accompany me on this day - lonely no more!

My wish list for this year's Mid Autumn Festival is very simple indeed. I want to just sit in the park with a friend, lighting up few lanterns while having endless conversations. Sounds romantic, right?

Sigh... I so much want to have someone to play the lanterns with but guess I won't even be lighting up even one lantern tomorrow night...

Anyway, Happy Mid Autumn Festival, everyone!

Vietnam Kitchen @ 1 Utama

Hmmm...

I was there 3 years ago with my fellow course mates for appreciation lunch - a session attended by us, EL 2005 batch with our beloved lecturers from Year 1 Semester 1. Previously, each of us forked out somewhere around RM30 for the lunch.

The setting back then was really nice there and now, it's nice too... They have one of the nicest set of utensils...

This time around, I took my parents and sister out on a meet-up with my cousin, Lillian, and she suggested that Vietnam Kitchen is a nice place to go to.

~ Pretty Cousin Lillian, mum and stupid sister ~

~ Beloved daddy and yours truly ~

Honestly, I know nothing about the menu in Vietnam Kitchen, so my cousin proceeded to make the orders.

Oh, oh, by the way, I ordered my own drink - something that looked cendol-ish but it wasn't cendol but it was close to cendol...

Then, cuzzie made a very interesting introduction to an appetizer in Vietnam Kitchen which is known as Banh Hoi Thap Cam.

This dish will be served with rice papers that look like this...

The rice papers are so damn nice, you know, got patterns some more...

If you don't know what Banh Hoi Thap Cam is, just take it as a simple DIY spring rolls - Vietnam style. Unique, right? Basically, it is a dish of pork, chicken and vermicelli, fried spring rolls, minced shrimp on sugarcane and pork balls.

Here, let me teach you how to make these simple DIY spring rolls...

First of all, spread some water on the rice paper...

The reason is so that the food will stick to the rice paper and will not fall out of place easily.

Secondly, get what-so-ever ingredients you like onto the rice paper like this...

And this...

Or if you like raw vegetable, put some beneath all the pork, vermicelli and stuffs to make it more crunchy...

Fold it up and have a bit to have the savour of satisfaction... Hahaha... You should be satisfy because it tastes nice actually... Best of all, you can have it for less than RM25.

Okay, now for the main course...

~ Stew Pork Leg with Eggs, RM16.90 ~

~ Stir Fry Lotus, RM12.90 ~

~ Seafood Tofu with Minced Pork, RM12.90 ~

~ Deep Fried Fish with Miso Sauce, RM38 ~

The fish was so damn expensive - tasted normal enough for me, nothing special and nothing to shout about but RM38 was so damn expensive lor! Yes, so damn expensive that I felt like stabbing a knife right through the head of the fish like this...

After which I did that, the fish died on me...

There, right through the head - kesian, little fishie...

At the end of the day, the bill came out somewhere at RM165 or so...

In a nutshell (sounds so formal), it'll be a good try for those of you who love Vietnamese food.
