Our favourite hangout place...

I know, I should be studying at this time since my first paper will start on the 25th of this month. Okay, I still have like... 9 more days. Haha. I can't concentrate now because I'm a last-minute person. At least I admit that.

You guys know? I've been hanging at 1 Utama very often nowadays. I've always like this place because it's spacious and most importantly of all - it's BIG enough to occupy me. I went there last Sunday with my brother. We took the route from Sentul and guess what did we see...

Yeah, whole bunch of cows crossing the road. All of a sudden, I felt like we are staying in a rural area in the middle of KL. Muahaha... country-look-alike neighbourhood, just like what Alwin said. Haha.

When we got to 1 Utama, guess what we saw? It was an interesting day indeed. We saw the world's smallest monkey. Guys, that little guy is soooooooooooo cute, you know? Really a cutie. I've to admit the fact that the little monkey is cuter than me.

Me brother and I did some window-shopping as well as shopping but shopping for food only since he said he wanted to cook.

So, three days later, which was yesterday, YT and I went to 1 Utama for once again. Yeah, 1 Utama, no mistake. We bumped into Loonie and Gigi there. Since it was already dinner time, we decided to go to Dragon-i for dinner since I haven't been there before and both YT and Loonie recommended their pull-noodles. Okay, it's a joke because I direct-translated it from Mandarin which is read as 拉面.

Dragon-i is known as 龙的传人 in Chinese. Honestly, the ambience is good. I'd give 9.5 out of 10 for the branch at 1 Utama. I don't know about the branch at Mid Valley because personally, I don't see it as unique as the one in 1 Utama.

We did cam-whore a bit but those pictures sucks, so, I am not going to publish it. Err... except for this one and only picture in which I think it's quite nice and not extremely nice.

Loonie admitted that she takes lousy pictures, so, at times like this, I miss Alice's photography skills. You'll see the differences. Hehe. Sorry, Loonie.

Okay, now, we'll discuss about their food. Food, food, food... in which I don't think the noodles are nice. The signature Szechuan Style Noodles sucks, really sucks. It tasted just like noodles dipped into peanuty satay sauce.

At least the Beijing noodles that Loonie, Gigi and YT ordered are better than mine. Yuckie... I don't want to remind myself of that awful taste. Together with our noodles, each of us ordered a glass of chinese tea each and a bucket of 4 xiao long baos (RM9). In total, our bill cost RM84 for four persons and that was inclusive of 10% service charge and 5% government tax. So, each of us paid approximately RM21 for 1 biji xiao long bao, 1 bowl of noodles, 1 glass of chinese tea and 1 piece of wet-tissue.

Expensive, I'd say but if you've not been to that restaurant yet, it's worth a try. Nevertheless, their xiao long baos are nice, really nice.

Of J. Co and Big Apple...

Okay, the doughnuts' deal - Is it going to be J. Co or Big Apple?

I was out with Loonie, Gigi and YT yesterday to 1 Utama and it so happened I saw this newly opened Big Apple's branch at 1 Utama. Previously, it wasn't there. Then, Loonie suddenly asked if I've tried Big Apple's doughnuts or not because according to her, "The Alien" is really nice. YT didn't give any comments but just shook her head and said, "I prefer J. Co doughnuts."

A thought came across my mind, maybe YT was right because... just look at the picture below and try searching for differences or similarities...

Can you spot the differences or similarities? Yes, yes, there are only differences and no similarities. First of all, in front of Big Apple's entrance, there are two cam-whores cam-whoring and besides that???

Yes, you're smart. There are crowds queueing up for J. Co's doughnuts almost everyday while for Big Apple, I don't know what happened to their doughnuts that nobody is queueing up for the doughnuts.

Yayayaya, kill the sinful those sinful doughnuts if you ever gain weight eating them!

Right, I was searching hard for the cheese-flavoured doughnuts at Big Apple and to my disappointment, the doughnuts didn't seem to be fully covered with cheesy just like from cheese-me-up from J. Co.

To think that I could be on cloud nine after eating Big Apple's not-that-cheesy doughnut, you're wrong. Sigh... I miss cheese-me-up from J.co now. Since Alice is not around for the time being, there's no one who can accompany me to J. Co.

Ah, I forgot something, Ed, I kinda got few pictures from your entry because I've lost those pictures of doughnuts from J. Co that we took the other day.

At the end of the day, personally, I still prefer J. Co and now, I'm wishing for J. Co to open it's first franchise in Sarawak.

End of doughnuts' stories. Go to bed now, kids!

The BIG two three

I know it's going to be boring for readers to read this entry because guess what? It'll be about my previous birthday for once again. It will still be about the so-called disasterous-birthday ever.

The disasterous part happened because of submission of assignment and thesis. If it's not because of those two things, my birthday wouldn't be considered as 'disasterous.' Looking back now, I don't think my birthday was that disasterous after all. You see...

First of all, throughout my 23 years old living in this world... I've never had even one expensive birthday cakes but this year, my destiny changed. Muahahaha... My buddies got me a cake from Secret Recipe. Yeah, no mistake, it's White Chocolate Macadamia with the freaking price of RM6.50 per piece. Hell no, they didn't just get one or two pieces for me, they bought the WHOLE cake for me!!!

Muahaha... Just imagine how happy I was even though I couldn't finish the whole cake as what they instructed me to do. I just took one slice and pass the rest to other friends. See how thoughtful I am? I always am thoughtful.

I know the writings on the cake looked ugly but I can't help it, those people from Secret Recipe doesn't even know how to write nicely or maybe using the right colour instead of using RED. Nevertheless, the cake was great and it's always great for me.

Too bad, I got sick of cakes the following day. When YW, MW, PX and PL bought just a slice of...

... it reminded me of the White Chocolate Macadamia. Yeah, the Green Tea Cheese Cake from ZEN was really nice. Perhaps, nicer than the White Chocolate Macadamia. Maybe I should switch from being a Secret Recipe's fan to Zen's. For your information, ZEN is Secret Recipe's branch but their cakes just somehow, don't taste and look alike.

Forget cakes... I've had enough of cakes - at least at the nearest times. You know what... The best present is yet to be presented. Hehe... Yeah, when I mean the best, it does mean the best.

I was busy running from third floor to second floor and from second floor to first floor because of something on my birthday when I received an SMS from Ed, asking me to quickly fly (metaphor) home to SS2. Well, I couldn't fly home because I had to wait for Alwin. Alwin was taking his sweet time at the library before he could send me home.

So, when I got back to SS2, I saw a package lying on my bed... Yeah, it was from Ed. So, with curiousity I took the package and a lots of thoughts were whirling in my mind. Thoughts like...

"Is
this a pillow case?"
"Is this a foldable bedsheet?"
"Is this a t-shirt?"

Ah... I know I was being lame but the package felt soft. That was why all my guesses were related to something cloth-y.

So, I took out my pen-knife and open the envelope. The order of opening the envelope is shown below...

I was already screaming with disbelief when I saw it. It was so unexpected, you know? I was really expecting something from AUSSINO because Ed was telling me something about bedsheet the day before the package got here.

Okay, I'll forget the craps and go straight to the point. So, this is the thing inside the package...

Cute, ain't it? I know, right? You know, the moment I saw it, I really couldn't wait to put it around my neck. The stone attached to the little mousey is a moonstone. I didn't know about it until Ed told me so. Hey, it's really cute... If only you can see me, wearing it. I'm cuter.

Ah, that would be all about my BIG two three... Ed, thanks again, for the the best birthday present ever!

Yes, to all friends who sent SMS-es to me on my birthday, thanks a lot! I love you all!

My birthday...

... was a disaster this year...

We were all rushing to do the final touch-up to our website on the 9th and it so happen that I thought everyone has already forgotten my birthday...

It was really sad, you know?

I got up at 8.30 a.m. on the 9th of April and reminded myself that I should be finishing my thesis and website that day because we were supposed to hand in assignments and thesis the following day - that was supposed to be my happy, happy birthday (but it's not a happy, happy day after all). So, we got to the university's internet lab as early as 9 a.m. and started to work our arses off - searching for advertisements, extra news and waiting for Bernard to show up.

Eventually, Bernard showed up and it was already 2 p.m. We had created few pages of our websites when Bernard arrived only to know that there were some mistakes in the websites because we couldn't link the sites.

BOTHER.

We re-did everything around 3 p.m. and the internet lab closed straight at 7 p.m. We didn't have enough time to do it so, we rushed to Rey's place because his place is nearest to the university and he has internet connection at home. We were at his place until 2 a.m.

Halfway through our assignments and thesis, Alice realized it was already 12 a.m. and it's 10th of April. Hence, Alice and Yin Ting were singing a happy-birthday-song for me. Too bad Bernard went home too early (yes, we were born on the same day, same month and same year - amazing isn't it?) and he didn't get to listen to Alice and YT singing. Before Alice and YT could finish the song, my mobile rang and it was Edwin. Ed actually sang for me as well and I was at a loss of words honestly... I didn't know how to respond when he actually sang the song for me.

Wow, tears were welling in my eyes at that moment. I thought there won't be anyone who would remember it was my birthday or even just to send a SMS because everyone was busy with their assignments and theses. I was ready to cry if Ed sang for the second round.

Thanks, Edwin... for everything - for the littlest effort you've made just to give me a call and for the simplest birthday song through the phone. Most important of all, for that truly, truly angelic, lovely and precious present all the way from Kuching. If you were here with me at that very moment, sure you'll notice the tears in my eyes. Perhaps, you might even see me crying my heart out. I did wish you were here at that time too :) too bad that birthday wish couldn't be granted. Haha.

Thanks again, for being really wonderfully sweet, Ed...

David will sure say I'm heartless if I don't mention about him, so, here goes... David, thanks for the birthday SMS although it's a bit late! You're the latest one to wish me happy birthday, you know? Some kinda friend you are!

Anyway, that was a joke. Honestly, Dave, I appreciate it so much.

I think 2008 would mark the last birthday I had and going to have here, at KL. Throughout the 3 years here, there are a lot of unforgettable birthday memories that we all share. I'm gonna miss all the friends here when the day comes.

The final week here...

...is so packed that I don't even have the time to do the things I like... and the sad thing is... I can't get sufficient sleep due to the stress that is building inside me.

The cause...

1. Submission of thesis.
2. Submission of assignment.
3. Presentation.

The best part is...

ALL OF THEM ARE GOING TO HAPPEN ON THURSDAY.

The surprise is...

THURSDAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!

Kill me.

Darn... Seems like I can't have the most memorable birthday for the last time here, at PJ.

The thing about this blog...

This is just a supplementary blog since my more than two-year-old blog was deleted due to some personal problems that I myself couldn't understand.

Well, I don't know if the same situation will repeat or not in the future but one thing for sure, I won't just quit something I love doing in the future.

So, here I am, back to blogosphere...
