Sleek Primer Palette

So... yeah, a simple update just to prove I am alive on this Lunar New Year.

Before I do anything, Happy Lunar New Year, people and my beloved readers and followers. May the year of dragon brings you more prosperity, weal

th, health, love, joy, happiness, yada, yada, yada all year round!

LOLX!

Anyway, let's get back to the main objective of this entry.

I got my Sleek Primer Palette after raving about it for quite some time.

I am not reviewing this palette in this entry because yeah, it is New Year and I am busy as a bee but fret not because there will be swatches.

Up close, these are the shades available available.

Nice names, right? Anyhoot, here are the swatches, so feast your eyes, alright?

Okay, I think that will be all for this entry.

Gonna dive into my bed now - super tired already and it's only the second day of CNY.

Good night, people!

Be-early CNY surprises

Whatever the reason is, I think blogspot doesn't like me. Just look at the disorientated uploaded pictures! Cacat, I know, right? Anyway... it doesn't really matter much though.

Two weeks ago, I went to pick up my parcel at the post office

I was thoroughly surprised to see my belated Christmas present! LOLX! Guess what came in the parcel?

It's this baby!

NYX Haute Jersey Leopard Culture! No joke, no joke! I was mad in love with the packaging the first time I saw it because I love anything gold because I am materialistic.

The moment I unboxed and opened it, again, I fell in love...

Isn't it gorgeous? Packed with 24 eyeshadows, 3 bronzers, 2 blushes, 1 highlighter and 2 lip glosses, how can you resist it? You can actually take this baby with you for a short trip without having to worry you don't bring enough makeup products.

I have not try out the eyeshadows or anything in the palette yet, so, I can't comment much as for now. Yes, no mistake, I have been exceptionally busy with my asshole thesis that almost takes 20 out of 24 hours of my everyday life. Even when I dream, I dream of my thesis!

Anyway, shan't talk about my thesis much here because... bestie came back from Glasgow just recently and look what she has brought back for me!

At first glance, you'll be thinking, what kinda packaging is that - yellow and blue - looks so transformer-ish. LOLX! Hahahaha...

When I took out the bar inside, OMG... it's from Lush!!!

And the soap is called Angels Delight - no wonder! Me Delight, Angels Delight, geddit, geddit?

I am so, so grateful because I've been dying to get my hands on Lush products for so damn long already but well... financial problems forever hold me back!

Now, I can haz Lush!

Thank you so much, BFF!!!

Other that Lush, I did ask her to get several stuffs for me. I bet you girls are gonna drool over it soon! Hahaha.

Drooling yet? You know what? The MUA eyeshadows are gorgeous and best of all, they're retailing for 1 pound each at leading UK drugstores.

No swatches or anything yet because I am still busy trying to straighten things out!

Now, the highlight of the day!

The long awaited Sleek Primer Palette!

I'm gonna end abruptly as for now because I am damn sleepy.

Goodnight, people!

Sleek and Sexy

Sorry, peeps, I've been so, so down for the past few days and reluctant to get online no matter what. Spent half of my day, tormenting my poor friend's stall at Amcorp Mall because I seriously needed somebody to just be by my side. Hence, his soul has been painfully tormented by my tears and all.

Yes, I'm feeling pretty much alright by now because no matter what, life still goes on whether I like it or not.

"If someone isn't there for you anymore, you have no choice but to let him go."

Well, he will not be there any longer, so, guess it'll be pretty much me, myself and I.

Nevertheless, I shall not dwell over the past.

Lemme show you what Sleek Original Palette can do!

Sorry if I didn't do my best - those are looks without primers or anything. Furthermore, in the mid of feeling miserable, I did all those looks so, makeup is one of the cures out there for those who have gotten their hearts broken.

Look at how vibrant the colours are... gorgeous, isn't it?

Hence, now, I'm considering if I should splurge again or not? I wanna get Chaos and Graphite!

Will somebody please kill me?

Sleek and Solone

I don't think I need to do much introduction on Sleek Makeup, right? Well, it's quite popular in the UK already. If you're unsure, you may always google it up.

I've gotten my Sleek Makeup Palette in Original just 2 days ago but so sorry, I wasn't in the mood to share any of the swatches due to my personal problems.

On the whole, I love the packaging of their palettes - very sleek and posh and of course, sexy! I love packaging in black!

Lemme show you what's inside...

Gorgeous, ain't it?

I regret not getting Chaos and also Graphite. Darn... I should have splurged but nevertheless, I'm good for while. This palette is around 3/4 of Naked's size and it's great for traveling. Well, Naked is great for traveling as well!

On the pigmentation of the eyeshadows...

They're pigmented alright. The eyeshadows feel really smooth and as you can see from the swatches, they glide effortlessly.

Let me do a list of pros and cons.

Pros #1 - good pigmentation.

Pros #2 - affordable.

Pros #3 - great for traveling as you only need one palette.

So, now, it's time for cons!

Cons #1 - not available in Malaysia.

Cons #2 - colours don't stick to brushes! You've gotta use the sponge tip applicator and me no likey! Hate, hate, hate!

Cons #3 - pigmentation can get better - more improvement.

Overall, this is my rating!

Now, comes the so-called pencil liner as being recommended by Taiwan's Beauty Show, Solone Magic Waterproof Eyeliner!

I got two of these eyeliners - deepest black and shimmering purple. The purple eyeliner is beautiful, simply beautiful, what else can I say?

The colours are very pigmented but I just swatched it softly and carefully, well, as usual, I didn't wanna waste them!

As much as this eyeliner claims to be waterproof, I don't think it's waterproof at all. Thus, I agree with Isabel of her review on these eyeliners.

I tried them on my waterlines and they don't stay. They strayed about and within minutes, the eyeliner was transferred onto my lower lashline, making me look like a horrible panda!

Then, I tried it on the corner of my eyes, it smudged! Yes, it smudged pretty badly!

I guess this eyeliner is only suitable for the use on your eyelids and not waterline. It's similar to UD's 24/7 eyeliners.

Let's say if I wanna smudge these eyeliners without the aid of any liquid, well, they don't really budge but if you have them in shimmers, the shimmers will be gone within seconds!

Product - 2 out of 5
Packaging - 3 out of 5
Availability - Please refer to Isabel's blog for more information
Re-purchase - No

That's it, that marks the end of my reviews!

I'm SLEEK and SEXY!

Gah... I still can't get over my first love!

Hahahahaha...

Therefore... I'm gonna divert my attention off him for a while and talk about more beauty-related products. FML, yes, true enough!

Gawd... it has been so long, or at least I feel like a gazillion years since I raved about beauty products so much. Hahaha... Minus my Stage Cosmetics' haul, of course!

When I was busy doing my thesis online-ing few weeks back, I was very much amused by products from Sleek Makeup.

As dull as I am when it comes to choosing eyeshadows, I am always attracted to vibrant colours but ended up not purchasing any because I don't really like the idea of being the limelight. Yes, I am a boring neutral-colours lover but what's the big deal? You can never go wrong with having too many greys, whites and browns.

If you don't know, Sleek Makeup originates from UK and that means for make-up geeks around the world, you might need to resort to expensive international shipping if you wanna get anything from Sleek Makeup.

But... yes, there is always a but - you can always find another route to satisfy your desire and that route is... taobao.com, which is China's biggest online market! You see... Sleek is a brand from UK but from what I've googled, the products are made in China, hence, it's not surprising when these beauties can be purchased in China, then again... watch out for fake products!

The thing that has gotten my attention is the packaging of eyeshadow palettes from Sleek.

Now, I know the reason behind whe Sleek Makeup is known as Sleek Makeup. The packaging is so sleek and sexy and of course... I love it! They have permanent and limited edition lines! If you're in UK, lucky you and if you're not, let's just say, feast your eyes, shall we?

First up and the palette that has always been compared to UD BOS III is the Original from Sleek Makeup.

I'm not sure the reason why this palette is being compared to UD BOS III but when I saw the swatches, they are indeed very close. So, if you don't feel like paying RM200 to RM250 for UD BOS III, perhaps you can consider getting this palette.

Here are the swatches!

Gorgeous, ain't it? I know it's gorgeous but yeah, it's in my MUST-HAVE list as of now and I can't wait for this thing to get to me! Oh, my UD BOS III palette? Well, I sold it off to my stupid sister because she's been pestering me to do so after the palette get to me and she loves it so much!

I know, RM200 for RM20... Hahaha... super worth it. That means I can save RM180! So, I'm definitely gonna get this palette!

If you're someone who loves vibrant and pastel colours, you should opt for Acid.

The colours look so nice from the palette that I was so drawn into ordering it but after I've made up my mind, I decided to ditch the idea of getting it because...

Like for how many times out of forever that I'll be using these colours? You tell me. Remember, I'm a BORING-est person on Earth that ever exist!

If you're doing make-up shows, then, this palette will do you good! For sure I know my stupid sister is going to love this palette but then again, I'm not going to buy any for her! Hahahaha... Yes, I'm not a very good sister, I know, I know.

Have you ever witness sunset, especially at the beach or maybe up from the mountain? Ah... I can almost imagine how romantic it'll be althought I've never witness any sunset or sunrise before. I'm the BORING-est person, remember?

But Sleek's Sunset isn't a boring palette!

If you've never witness the sun setting, just like me, perhaps, you can consider getting this palette and create an illusion of the sun setting on your eyelids!

LOLX! This is not impossible, it's possible! There are so many youtube gurus out there doing the sunset-inspired looks and each of them turned out to be so nice!

Ah... I love teals!

Oopsies... it just goes that way... I love teals but I never wear teals on my eyes! The blue and teal in Chaos surely have my attention hooked!

With a mixture of earthly tones, for sure, this palette has to be in my list too. Please don't hate me for saying this but... I gotta have this one... but... it's not practical to buy so many palettes since I'm doing freelance make-up for the bride's entourages.

I adore this palette, yes, you hear it? I adore it but I think I'll pass this as for now, until I'm done with all the existing palettes. It'll probably take years for me to get over all the palettes, so, pray for me so that I can used them up as soon as possible!

But if somebody wanna give this palette to me, why not, right? I love freebies!

I guess I haven't mention Storm yet.

Storm is ideal of neutral-coloured eyes. So, this basically means, this palette is ideal for people like me but... without any pop of colours? Are you sure?

Nah... I still need a little pop of purples or blues!

Now, it's time for two limited edition palettes!

This is Safari! I don't know why but I keep on relating this palette to zebra... Err... I guess it should be due to it's name is safari and I always think of zebra!

Next one is Graphite.

This palette is essential for smokey-eyes' lovers! Oh... how I wish I could look good with smokey eyes but nah... smokey eyes aren't for me because stupid sister always comments, "Why are your eyes looked like being punched by somebody?"

End of story.

Sleek Makeup also has other products such as highlighter, foundation or setting powder, I guess... You should google it up if you're interested!

Another two products that make me really goes wild are their lip colours and also blushers!

The reviews I've heard about these two are good... so, I'm lemming towards them as of now but let's see if I can finish up my existing blushers and lip colours in time. Then, I'll get a new one, no mistake!

That's it for now, folks!
