O' Briens

Who's interested in sandwiches???

Don't just simply go to Jusco to get their sandwiches, be a little more choosy. Hey, hey, hey, you fans of Jusco, I'm not trying to say their sandwiches sucks but at least, try those at O'Brien's. Their sandwiches are nice, really nice and they're priced from RM14.90 to RM29.90.

The beauty of O'Brien's sandwiches is that it's freshly made right in front of your very eyes - so you can actually see if the ingredients used are fresh or not and be a little choosy over the ingredients they use too.

I've tried their sandwiches and I tell you, I'll go back to O'Brien's again some time soon. Hey, their sandwiches are really nice. I can't remember the name of the sandwiches my brother ordered for me but I still remember the taste - *slurps* nice...

The picture is just for illustration. The portion is actually quite satisfying - not for big-eater. Me brother said my sandwiches costs RM15.90 and it's a little pricey.

Oh, mama... I'm still craving for those sandwiches...

UTAR's new campus

Note: I'll be going to Kuching tomorrow afternoon with SY and her family.

After my finals last month, I went to Ipoh with Wendy, PL and Sandy for a break from life in KL. A lot of people believe that Ipoh is a town where pretty girls are 'produced' and the best living example is Wendy.

I'm not going to elaborate on Ipoh but I'm going to show you our university's new campus in Kampar, Perak. Wendy brought us there and the journey to Kampar from Ipoh took us around 45 minutes.

When we got there, the first thing that caught my attention was the hostel. Darn... the hostels are damn nice, I tell you - you can choose to stay at French or Chinese-inspired hostels.

OMG... even if you're not staying in the hostels, you can choose to stay outside and the rental is damn cheap! For RM600 you can rent a three-storey terrace house with six rooms and share it with your friends! TMD... I tell you, if I was born three years later than my actual birth year, I'd be so lucky because UTAR will be moving to new campus next year or some time like that.

Even the journey into the new campus had us attracted - the scenery is just so nice and serene... WTF, you can't find it anywhere in KL!

You can actually see lake everywhere, mountains and green, green, green plants everywhere too in the new campus! Imagine that kinda scenery - darn, you can fall in love easily! Don't believe? Let me show you more pictures!

Actually I have more pictures but it's just I'm too lazy to post it up. Even our faculty in the new campus is beautiful or should I use pretty instead of beautiful? A friend used to tell me beautiful and pretty are used differently but ah... forget it, I can't remember.

I don't know what you think about the building but all of us think it's nice - at least better than what we have at PJ. I don't have the picture of our faculty in PJ but you can google it out.

We were not supposed to go down of Wendy's car while we were in the campus, so, this is what we did...

Yes, we sneaked out of Wendy's car and illegally went into the faculty. Haha. Eh, not my fault... I sneaked in too because of Wendy's influence. Haha. That was a joke - we were all too curious that we sneaked in and at the end of the day, we got stopped by the security guard.

But since the security guard was mesmerized by Wendy's beauty, he decided to let us go.

You see, beauty has an advantage!

Saisaki @ Wisma UOA II

Yes, I'm BIG, a SUPER BIG fan of Japanese food with a SUPER BIG APPETITE for Japanese food. You better believe it because you know what? I went to Saisaki Restaurant with my mum and brother two months ago to satisfy my inner desire for Japanese food.

Yeah, my brother is one big fan of Japanese food too. On the other hand, mum hasn't got a very big appetite, it's always not advisable to bring her for buffet. She told me she wanna have porridge with salty eggs at Saisaki.

My goodness... You see... We went there for dinner and the price is RM55 per pax exclusive of tax and mum said she wanna eat porridge with salty eggs???

We fainted... Me brother and I were so alarmed that we didn't know how to answer her. Instead of having these (cheese-baked oysters)...

These (salmon-inspired sushi-s)...

And these (snails, squids, scallops, salmons)...

Even these (more salmons, unagi, tako and bla, bla, bla)...

And the best soft-shelled crabs ever...

Or even the nicest fish-dishes around...

...she said she wanna have porridge with salty eggs? How could she betray the food? Muahaha... We managed to talk her into eating all those in the end even though porridge is provided there. They even serve different types of rice, noodles and stuffs like that if you're craving for carbs.

Ah, I didn't mention Saisaki is buffet-based restaurant right? Yeah, it is. So, it's eat-whatever-you-want.

All the food are prepared at counters like this...

Cool, right? Haha... Then, go to Saisaki. But then, let me warn you before you begin snap-snapping away because pictures are forbidden in Saisaki. I was being told not to take pictures of their food when I was busy doing so. That's the reason I don't have many pictures of their food.

Anyway, if you feel like going to Saisaki, the address and location is as below:

Unit No. 1 - 9, 1st Floor,
Wisma UOA II, No. 21,
Jalan Pinang,
50450 Kuala Lumpur.

Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant @ Midvalley, KL

Korea has always been a country that I so much wanna go one day and I even thought of moving to Korea if I could. Forget the Korean language part - my mind is still about the plastic surgery in Korea. Hehe.

I wanna do lipo-suction and tummy tuck in Korea - look at celebrities like Kim Ah Joong and others... their plastic surgeries are successful and they look totally HOT right now! Don't you agree with me?

Ah, well, it's not the time to talk about plastic surgeries here...

Introducing one of the many Korean restaurants available in Klang Valley - Kyung Joo. Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant is my favourite Korean restaurant so far. I've been to the Korean restaurant at Sg. Wang but I didn't really enjoy their dishes. I don't wish to further comment about their dishes because that is not my priority here.

Kyung Joo Restaurant is situated in Midvalley Megamall. If all of you are interested in Korean food, maybe you should give Kyung Joo a visit. The kimchi they serve is the BEST kimchi I've tasted so far and I super-duper love their kimchi soup (only applies to those of you who love sour and spicy food).

Their dishes come in reasonable prices. For example, you see the dish below? Take a close look and try and guess how much it is?

I don't remember what it is called but I do remember there were kimchi, octopus, lala, tofu, tomato, prawns, pork and eggs inside. It costs RM16 exclusive of tax.

Wait, wait, wait!

RM16 is inclusive of a bowl of rice with FIVE other complimentary side dishes like kimchi, preserved vegetables, their signature's dishes - grinded chilli with tofu, Korean mashed potato and boiled vegetables Korean style. The BESTEST is... you can actually share these dishes with another person because it comes in a big portion although it's stated in the menu that it's a meal for one.

The other day, five of us went there and we ordered two sets of these dishes and we had our tummies filled up that we couldn't stand up after eating. That was how stuffed we were... Look at the dishes we ordered...

I know, I know, perhaps, it's YW's no-good photography skill that doesn't impress you guys much on the dishes at Kyung Joo Korean Restaurant.

I've been there for more than seven times now and I still will go there if I am in KL right now. I miss their food. For the previous two visits there, I did take some pictures and these are the proofs...

Can you actually see the happiness in us? That was the first time Alice agrees that Korean food is actually finger-licking good. Then, YW and PX also gave the same opinion.

Sushi King

Japanese food has always been my top choice whenever I go. I remember I used to crave for sushi-s since I was young and always pestered my parents to buy sushi-s for me but too bad Sibu did not offer any Japanese food back then.

It was until few years back when I first went to Sushi King with buddies... I fell in love with it. Super in love, I tell you!

Sushi King might not offer the BEST sushi in town but it's more than enough to satisfy your inner desire for Japanese food. The dish I'd strongly recommend have to be their "Golden Balls." Yeaps, you should try that dish. It might not be superbly special but it tastes really nice that you'll fall in love with just one bite if you're a big fan of eggs, like me.

~ Golden Ball at RM4 per dish ~

Other nice dishes that I'd recommend would be their Unagi, Kani Mayo, Egg Mayo, Smoked Salmon, Tuna Mayo and Tempura. These are the dishes from Sushi King that I *heart* a lot and since then, I've frequented my visits to Sushi King.

Too bad Sibu has no Sushi King, so I've to anticipate it until I'll get my arse back to KL in August. Sushi King, see you soon!

When sunny day is not sunny anymore...

Have you ever look forward to a new day, a new sunny day and it turns out not sunny at the end of the day?

Ever since I got back to Sibu, everyday is a sunny day because of him... Yes, he was one of the sources of my joy being in Sibu... The thought of him every morning made me wake up and anticipate for him just to sit by my side but now... all these will only be memories...

He left me yesterday morning...

The thought of losing him didn't even cross my mind the night before when he was still around. He was happily running about and being very pampered.

Now, he's gone... I can't hear him calling any longer, I can't get to see him any longer...

He might not be super handsome fellow available... he might not look like this...

Or like this...

Or maybe like this...

He looked typical enough although he was at all the prettiest thing around... Yeah, he's a kitty - my precious, precious kitty...

Sunny... Sunny left me yesterday - he was bitten to death by some S-T-U-P-I-D dogs of my neighbour's. Those stupid mutha-fuckin' dogs... they even tried to bite me the other day. If I knew all these would happen, I would have beat them to death first. Stupid dogs... stupid breed, stupid, stupid, stupid!

Rest in peace, my dear, dear Sunny...

Sibu, Land of Kampua

Nothing beats the best noodles in town when you stop by my hometown, Sibu. The infamous kampua will totally lift your spirit to its maximum when you're down and if you're already happy, it'll bring you a step closer to heaven.

Boiling hot water is always prepared for hygiene purposes everywhere in the little serene town. If you're not a Sibu-ian and you happen to stop by Sibu, be sure to grab a plate of kampua before you leave the town.

The many hairstyles of Angel...

Muahaha... Not so many actually... Okay, this is one bimbo entry - you can skip it if you don't feel like reading it.

Thinking back, I have to agree with some friends of mine that I kept on changing my hairstyles and colours every semester. I always love experimenting with my hair although I do know the consequences of doing so. Well, I don't really care.

Let me see... I had shoulder-lengthed hair when I was enrolled in the university - brown, shoulder-length hair. I don't have the pictures already but just use your imaginations. I kept that hairstyle until the second semester when I came back to Sibu and went for digital perm. No pictures again since it was quite some time ago. The perm lasted for a semester though.

Then, the third semester, I straightened my hair and kept it straight and real-long for one year until I re-dyed it in fifth semester. Don't worry, I have pictures for this hairstyle... Take a look...

The hair almost touched my butt and I love the length of my hair then. As you know, I can't stick to one same hairstyle all-year-round, so, after the fifth semester, I went for spa perm again... Yeah, yeah... You know, everyone complimented on the perm...

~ taken by sweetie pie without me realizing it - fugly me ~

Then, I went to highlight my hair. No, not that I didn't like the colour of my hair before I highlighted it... I thought I could bring out the other side of me by highlighting it but the hairdresser actually damaged the curls and spoiled my hair with the lousy quality of the hair-colour!!!

I was so freaking mad at the hairdresser for making my hair looked so terrible! I swear I'll never go back to that salon ever, ever again!!! I know my hair looked so dead in the picture... So, a month later, I went to another salon to get my damaged hair cut off and straightened. I was a little sad in the beginning because my hair felt so short all of a sudden.

During my last semester, when I started watching Malaysian Dreamgirl, I grew to love shorter hair. I super-duper love Eyna's hair but I know I can't pull it off because of my fat face. Then, I was infatuated with Cindy's new short hair...

I seriously think Cindy looks sooooooo much hotter and prettier and of course sexier with the short hair. Gosh, I just love her hair so much...

With the increasing heat in Sibu recently and my intolerant towards hot weather, I cut my hair short... yes... very, very short... You better believe me because I've proofs!

Yes, a hair-style inspired by Cindy. Gosh, I just so love my hair now... Short and manageable. Hehe. I'm so happy.

I know, I know, some people said I look terrible with the short hair but I don't really care. I know some of you said I'm a copy-cat, say-la, say-la, as if I care... I'm more concerned about my complexion rather than your insignificant comments. Pimples and acnes are popping out everywhere because of the stupid weather and if I don't cut my hair, it'll become worse!!! So, say whatever you want, I don't really care.

I just love my hair now.

Romance of the Three Kingdom

A catchy title, isn't it?

For those of you who are familiar with the phrase, you'll surely relate it to some ancient Chinese history which happened thousand years back during what-so-ever dynasty but this entry is not about the history of China.

Again, this is not an entry of the history of China but I'm here to promote this place called Romance of the Three Kingdom.

Curious?

Read on...

Alice, YT and I were squeezing our brain juices out the other day when we were trying to find some interesting news to write for our Online Journalism. Then, we came across Romance of the Three Kingdom through a website and three of us were attracted to it. At the very first click to Three Kingdom's website, we were determined to write a news about it.

So, YT emailed the PR person, Mr. Timmy Foo, about our motives and believe it or not, Mr. Foo actually asked us to bring friends there on this particular Saturday evening and beverages would be on him. Alice and I were so thrilled that we screamed so loud that people thought we were crazy! OMG, we were over the moon!!!

The main reason - the offer was just too terrific and awesome to be rejected! Take a look at the pictures below and you'll know why...

Thus, we called Bernard up and informed him about the interview with Mr. Foo.

Before that, if you've been guessing what place Three Kingdom is, now, the secret is revealed - yes, it's a CLUB.

The interview with Mr. Foo took around half and hour and we were left wandering about in the club to take pictures after that. Since we have promised Mr. Foo that we'll promote Three Kingdom, I might as well put up this entry - at least I do not break my promise.

Below is the interior structure of Three Kingdom...

OMG, believe it or not, they have a stage that is meant for catwalks! It means fashion shows can be held at Three Kingdom too!!! To put things into a simpler say, Three Kingdom is a place of entertainment, all-in-one.

Okay, I'll stop crapping and let you guys feast your eyes with the pictures taken... and do remember to drop by their website for a visit!

Can you spot a head in the last picture above? Well, that picture was taken by me and you know what? Bernard suggested that I should shoo the bartender away or maybe cut off his head because he kinda spoilt the picture. Muahaha...

Anyway, Three Kingdom is one of the clubs that is worth a visit. So, if you do pass by Mont Kiara, do drop by for a visit!

Oh, yeah, PX, so sorry that I wasn't able to bring you there last time but I promise to bring you there when we meet again in KL soon.

I heart Italiannies

Yes, I super-duper *heart* Italiannies, you heard that? So, bring me to Italiannies the next time you wanna date me out for lunch or dinner. I wanna go to Italiannies again. I wonder if there are any kind souls who are willing to make this wallet-draining sacrifice or not.

Err... actually, before I went to Italiannies, I've heard endless comments about it. A friend of mine told me, "Heck, those fellas at Italiannies actually charged RM50++ for my XO Fried Rice!" At that time, that friend totally shattered my initial plan of going there. I thought, "If a plate of XO Fried Rice costs RM50, does it mean that a plate of spaghetti will cost RM100?"

What kinda stupid idea was that? It was totally stupid, I tell you. I was stupid enough to believe him too, I have to admit. Where got Italians serve fried rice one? That proves I'm very *aherm* naive and pure. Another friend commented that their food is not good and bla, bla, bla - some stuffs like that. So, in the end, I changed my mind about going there.

About month ago, I was out with Loonie and Gigi to Dragon-i for their pull-noodles and xiao long baos, Loonie mentioned that she and Gigi so much wanna go to Italiannies. I was thrilled because all of a sudden, the urge to go to Italiannies came alive. So, three of us came up with a plan - to go to Italiannies right after our last paper.

Well, 10 of us went there but only 9 of us ended up there because PX a.k.a. Sandy, couldn't make it to eat with us because her dad came. It was such a pity, you know? I know how much Sandy loves good food, just like any of us.

Ambience... Let's talk about the ambience at Italiannies, 1 Utama. Well, I like the ambience there - cosy, cottage-feels-alike, quiet and superb lighting. If you wanna bring your girlfriend or boyfriend out for a romantic candle-light dinner, do consider Italiannies. All of us actually liked the place that we took out our cameras and began to camwhore away.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm good at coming up with funny conversations. Hahahahahahaha. *clears throat*

Lame.

I know.

Anyway, we were attracted by the promotion that offered one appetizer, three main courses and one dessert. Yeah, that means altogether, five dishes with the price of RM89.90 exclusive of 5% government tax, 10% service charge and drinks. It was quite a deal, you see. Since there were 9 of us, we ordered two sets. That means altogether, we had 10 dishes - satisfying dishes. We ordered drinks separately.

First of all, let me introduce the food that we ordered... I don't know if I can remember each and every one of them but let me try. Introduction starts from left to right, up to down.
  1. I-don't-remember-the-name. It's some crunchy garlic bread with nice balsamic tomato-dices toppings. The topping is nice.
  2. Garlic Chicken Pizza.
  3. Angel Hair Pomodoro (basically, it means, my hair... hehe).
  4. Aglio Olio Pasta - OMG, I love this one... the prawns were super springy and nice and fresh.
  5. Chicken Milanese - super creamy topping, love this too!
  6. I-don't-remember-the-name-of-this-dish - it's ideal for vegetarians!
  7. Cappuccino Pie.
  8. Something-cinnamon-I-don't-remember - but I LOVE this one better than cappucino pie!
As you can see, I listed only 8 dishes but I mentioned there were 10, right? Okay, we actually ordered something else but it turned out that they didn't have those dishes, so, they substituted the remaining 2 dishes with Garlic Chicken Pizza. In the end, all of us grew super tired with the Pizza that we forced Ah Ma to bring back the remaining 4 pieces of pizzas.

I'm so sorry that I don't remember all the names of the drinks. So, if you so happen to go to Italiannies, find it out on your own.

Best of all, they offered complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar with olive oil. Well, their bread was really nice that day!

We paid around RM290 for everything inclusive of drinks and tax. It was cheaper than what I've expected. I told others that the estimation would be around RM50 per pax but it was like RM15 cheaper in the end.

We were happy and satisfied.

Maybe I should consider on organizing my birthday party there next time.
