Ruby Restaurant @ Sibu

We went to one of the most sought after restaurants at Sibu, Ruby Restaurant, for Fathers' Day two weeks back. Before I went there, I heard a lot of good comments on the menu and food at Ruby Restaurant. So, with so much anticipation, I went there just a day before Fathers' Day to book for a table for 8 people.

Upon getting there, the restaurant owner advised us to make our order beforehand so that food could be served faster the day after. I ordered...

  • Nam Lu Pork

  • Lemon Chicken

  • Pandan Chicken

  • Stir Fry Paku Pakis

  • Fried Cangkuk Manis with Egg

  • Stir Fry Bean Sprouts with Salted Fish

  • Fish and Vegetable Stew

  • Shanghai Tofu

  • Altogether, I ordered and reserved the above dishes. The owner said once an order has been placed, the availability of those dishes is there already. I thought at that time that their service was really good.

So, we went there the next day straight at 7p.m. sharp for dinner. Once we got there, dad motioned for them to start serving. So, I ordered my drink...

My sister and I ordered the same drink while for dad, mum and the rest, they ordered Chinese Tea. The lady owner before serving, came and told us, "Sorry, your order of Stir Fry Bean Sprouts with Salted Fish is no longer available because of insufficient order of Bean Sprouts."

So, we opted for Stir Fry Baby Corns.

See, they said one thing but they did another thing.

The first dish was served shortly and we were eating as if we haven't eaten anything for 3 days...

We waited for 5 minutes for the rice to be served but then, came 10 minutes... our shares of rice were not serves yet... Mum was a little irritated already at that time. So, we reminded the lady that we want some rice and the rice wasn't even served since 15 minutes ago. The lady apologized and ran down to get the rice.

After the first dish, we settled down for a while to chit-chat with the relatives and cousins. I took a look at the time - 8 p.m. already and the second dish wasn't even out yet. I thought maybe it was due to Fathers' Day that the service was a little slow. So, we waited a while - 8.30 p.m. but still the second dish wasn't out yet.

I was a little mad to be honest. Soon, the door was opened and the waitress came in with two dishes. I was pretty certain those two dishes were ours because we ordered...

Sis was ready with her spoon and forks but then, those two dishes were served to the table behind us. We were shocked but those folks at the table behind looked surprised. A moment later, one of them stood up and went down. Soon, the lady owner came up and moved the two dishes to our table and apologized for the carelessness of the waitress.

See what kinda service was that?

After the two dishes came, the fourth, fifth and sixth were...

By the time we finished these three dishes, it was already 10 p.m. and we still sat there and waited for our remaining two dishes. As the time came to 10.30 p.m. I came to realization that almost everyone in the restaurant left already. Dad was furious, so he went down to the reception counter to ask.

Darn, the lady owner came up to us and said, "So sorry but did you order Lemon Chicken and Pandan Chicken? These two dishes were not in your list."

Fuck la, we were so damn mad at that time already because we were the third table in the list and we were the last to finish!

So, she asked if we still want the remaining two dishes or not. We agreed to it and ordered mee goreng as well because my sister was complaining that she was still hungry.

By the time we finished our orders, it was already 11.15 p.m. and all of us were damn furious about the service that the restaurant offered.

If you were to ask the price, I wouldn't say it's cheap comparing to other restaurants like Mum's Place (behind Methodist Secondary School) or Million's Cafe (Rejang Park). Dad paid RM154 for everything and I'd say it's kinda pricey.

We used to go to Mum's Place, 10 of us and the food there is far, far better than those in Ruby Restaurant and we only paid like RM120++ inclusive of drinks.

    You decide.

I wasn't very happy with Ruby Restaurant honestly.

    Thus, war begins...

Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom, there lived a wannabe Rottweiler doggie called GW Bush. Initially GW Bush was not called GW Bush but Kiki. Kiki adopted the name of GW Bush because of his cruelty towards his people. Thus, he was known as GW Bush from then on.

GW Bush always picked on the weaker people to prey on them. He would bite, shook and sometimes scared them off.

His underlings like Eevee or better known as T-Blair or Saadam @ Bobo were scared of him whenever he made appearances.

    ~ Bobo a.k.a. Saadam ~

    ~ Eevee a.k.a. T-Blair ~

Saadam, being the number one opposition of GW Bush finally made a decision to kick GW Bush's butt, so, he contacted his private investigators, Lulu and Blackie, to assist him. Lulu, being all white in colour, could not show herself because she looked obvious in daylight while Blackie, being all black, always stroke off at midnight because nobody could see him.

    ~ Saadam, contacting Blackie ~

~ Saadam: Psst, Blackie, here's how to do it ~

Soon, GW Bush instead or ruling the people, was captured and chained to perfection. Both Saadam and T-Blair were happy that they were finally freed from the torture of GW Bush.

At the end of the day, everyone was happy, thus, Lulu and Blackie demanded T-Blair and Saadam to pay them...

Until we meet again, folks, they said.

Meanwhile, Blackie, being black as he was, was an angry kitten all the times, so, he got mad when people stared at him, so...

    Muahaha.

    I know it's lame...

    TGI Friday's

Me brother and I went to TGI Friday's after much persuasions from friends and endless recommendations from blogger, Lillian Chan. Well, I went there without much expectation of good food because honestly, I used to think that the food there would be QUITE expensive judging from the ambiance of each outlet.

Okay, I was kinda a little wrong - yeah, it's kinda pricey but it's still affordable I'd say. For example for RM7.90, you can get yourself a glass of iced lemon tea. Expensive? Well, how about refilling it after the first glass and refilling again after the second or third glass? Sounds too good to be true, but it is!

I'll let you have a little sneak peek at the outlet in The Curve, PJ. I was there two weeks back with me brother and he was a little fascinated with the big airplane.

Kinda classy, right? Well, whatever it is, you'll be more amazed when the food is served. Me brother and I ordered their value set meal that consists of one appetizer, one main course and one dessert which is priced at RM39.90 per set. Affordable, right?

I thought their portion wouldn't be large but when it was served, you could actually share the set with another person but we were silly enough to order two sets and in the end, me brother had to finish everything up since I was so stuffed.

    I ordered...

    ~ For appetizer ~

For the first piece, when I sliced it up, the melted cheese kinda spill out and I was in heaven when I had it. I'll definitely go back to order this dish again.

    Yummilicious Mac n' Cheese...

    I also ordered...

    ~ For main course ~

Me brother's fault for ordering this one that at first, seemed like a typical burger but once I ate it, it tasted different! Really very different. Perhaps, you can consider ordering this one.

As for my dessert, I simply love it...

    ~ For dessert ~

The cookies they used are their homemade cookies and it tasted so nice when you actually eat it with their ice-cream and caramel. Warning** for sweet-tooth like me only.

As for me brother, his appetizer was really special...

    ~ His appetizer ~

It's shrimp in martini! If you love sour-ish shrimp, try this one out! It's really nice and it's so nice that I can't comment more. Haha.

    ~ His main course ~

The cheese is melted on the hot plate. The grilled chicken breasts are served together with the cheese, mashed potato with peppers. Really nice!

    ~ His dessert ~

He said the cake was nice but personally, I don't like the cake. I'd prefer those at Secret Recipe and Zen as well.

Well then, that's the end of my finding. I'll leave you guys with the wonder of the taste. If you so wanna eat it, go to T.G.I. Friday's.

    LG KU990

LG KU990 was released on 27th of October 2007 in UK. It is also known as LG Viewty. I first seen this mobile during the launching of it last year but I don't quite remember when was it. I fell in love with it at the very first sight.

Okay, since you all know that I've already fallen in love with it, buy one for me!!!

The mobile looks sleek, elegant and high-class. Typical me being elegance conscious. It's like one of the thinnest mobile I've ever come across and I totally like it. It's way lighter and slimmer than my current N80.

I know I shouldn't complain so much about my current mobile because so far, my N80 serves me well and it doesn't give me troubles of repairing it to this very day from the date of purchase, that was on the 21st of May last year. Even though I've dropped it for countless times, still, the mobile is in good condition because it was protected by the cover.

~ The front view of LG KU990 ~

~ The back view of LG KU990 ~

For the keypad of the mobile, it's touch-screen mode. Basically, everything is in touch-screen mode for this mobile which is why I like it because I love everything "touch-screen," just like my Sony Cybershot DSC-T2.

For camwhores like me, there is nothing happier than having a camera phone of 5MP and above like what LG KU990 offers you. It comes with a front camera as well.

~ Can you see the descriptions of the camera? ~

Cool, right? I know it's cool, so you don't have to remind me because I've already fallen in love with it. With that, let me present to you some pictures taken with LG KU990's camera.

Nice or not? Lao niang thinks it's nice lor. It also has macro mode, just like my N80 although there are quite some criticisms regarding the camera of LG KU990 that it is badly affected by noises when zooming. Despite all those criticisms, I'd say the mobile still looks elegant to me.

You can even choose your most desirable colours from black to red to silver. Niceeeee... Buy one for me, please!

    The BEST part is...

It is priced at RM1999 when I checked it out 2 weeks ago. Fuck laa... So expensive, how to buy? Even the cheapest is priced at around RM1700. If I could get it for RM1700, I'd rather buy a video camera or a DLSR with the money.

You see, this mobile doesn't support WLAN, in which, that means, I can't surf the internet wherever I am even though there is wireless service. It doesn't have infrared port even though we seldom use the port. And, and, and if you're careless enough and you spoil just the charger alone, then, deng, deng, deng... you've to fork out around RM300 just to get a new charger for your LG KU990.

Like that lao niang dies already lor...

But if this mobile comes to me as a present for whatever occasions, I'll still accept it. So, any kind souls out there?

    Part one

Note: My convocation date is announced yesterday in which my batch of friends and I will either be receiving our scrolls on the 23rd, 24th OR 30th. Will update about this issue later when I get the letter from the university.

Seriously, I think it's time for me to make some changes in my life like...

    1. Wearing more of skirts instead of pants.
    2. Wearing blouses instead of some boring tees.
    3. Wearing dresses that shouldn't make me look like I'm pregnant.
    4. Wearing heels instead of some comfy Bata sandals.
    5. Getting a versatile handbag for all occasions.

All the above can only be achieved with the help of wearing make-up. Seriously, I think I should use wear make-up on everyday basis instead of going out with a naked face. Shit la, I look so fucking horrible nowadays that it'll scare the soul out of your being in which, right now, I think I should take back what I have said to sweetie pie that I'm the cutest person on Earth while he only lines up second.

Darn, why am I feeling so freaking low now?

Back to the topic on wearing make-up on everyday basis. Wearing make-up is never easy for a clumsy and lazy person like me. I need like 45 minutes to 1 hours just to get everything done and this excludes hairdo. Crap, I'm really bad at this.

I'll show to you guys what my make-up kit is made up from the next time but meanwhile, please bear with me and my craps. So, to look beautiful within seconds, minutes or hours, you will need make-up stuffs like...

    1. Make-up base
    2. Concealer
    3. Foundation that suits your skin tone
    4. Eye-shadows with at least 4 colours
    5. Eyeliner, preferably black
    6. Mascara
    7. Fake eye-lashes, not too extreme
    8. Eye-lashes curler
    9. Blusher
    10. Pressed powder
    11. Lipstick, preferably close to nude colour
    12. Lip gloss

There, now you know how is it feels like to be me. All these things make my make-up life a hassle because normally, I wake up late and due to waking up late, I just can't seem to put everything in order (eg. right clothing and also make-ups). So, I don't normally wear them even though I've been telling Wendy that I should be wearing it since 3 years ago to attract attention from guys.

I seriously believe that you need make-ups to beautify yourself. Even the prettiest girls on Earth use make-ups and even fugly girls like me, with the aid of make-ups, at least I look more presentable. Shit la. Lao niang is so damn emo right now lo!

At the end of the day, still, I think losing weight would be the BEST option to look and feel better or prettier. Sigh, I'm so fucking emo that I no longer can continue to blog...

    Currently...

    I'm feeling so freaking pissed...

I'm so pissed with life in PJ that I super-duper hate the life in PJ right now (although I'm staying at Sentul right now). The standard of living in PJ is so fucking high that if you're not working or getting any study loan, you better kick your arses out of there!

    Dammit!

I can't find any accommodation at places nearby UM although it has been days since I got here. Fuck la! I'm sooooo damn angry and mad right now!

Don't you dare to utter a word about hostels in UM. Fuck hostels! Stupid people of UM! They know the standard of living in PJ is already high and they're trying to suck the blood out of us! They're charging us RM15 per day for the stay in hostel. RM15 times by 30 days, it'd be RM450 per head each month. How ridiculous can things get?

Alright, staying outside is another problem for us too without transport!

    Shit!

I have to end this entry because there will be more foul words I'll be using if I go any further now.

    Sahara @ Tabuan Laru, Kuching

Want to have a taste of Sahara? Well, go to Sahara Desert at Tabuan Laru, Kuching.

Is it situated at Tabuan Laru? Err... I don't quite remember since I wasn't paying much attention when a friend of mine was driving the other day. I was day-dreaming away because it was almost the end of the day and I was exhausted - getting ready to sleep...

But still, I enjoy my dinner there with that friend of mine!

    ~My spaghetti corbonara ~

~ His pork cordon bleu ~

I'm not going to comment or talk much in this entry due to insufficient time and energy. You guys just judge with your eyes or perhaps, my final review.

    Happy David's and Daddy's Day!

Note: I'll be going back to KL tomorrow night and I'm feeling so heavy-hearted to leave home for once again. Bless me.

For the guy who never fails to be there when I needed his support and help...

For the guy who saw the ugliest side of me but still says, "You're pretty"...

For the guy who has been there to share my ups and downs...

For the guy who offers company whenever I'm lonely...

For the guy who hits on my friend instead of me...

For the guy who has always been my BEST driver chauffeur...

For the guy who has always been a ke-leh-feh in pictures...

For the guy who says I crap too much...

For the guy who complains that I am not lady enough because I don't wear skirts...

~ This is a proof that he is wrong that I don't wear skirts at all ~

Happy birthday, dear, dear David, the cutie piggie. May your birthday be blessed and do enjoy this day although I knew it since earlier this month that you're having your exam tomorrow.

    *********** The End ***********

Okay, now, it's the time for the daddy's day entry! Yay!

If being compared to Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day is usually not being celebrated very grandly. I don't know why is it that way but that's the fact. Still, my family, celebrated it just a while ago. Guess what did I get for daddy this year?

    Taa-daah...

No, not a pen from Mont Blanc... Guess again...

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

Hehe... It's perfume and it looks like this!

Gosh, I super love the smell - so sexy and manly! The perfume is strong but not intoxicating and I love this kinda smell.

The best of all, they gave me a small bottle of perfume sample from Dunhill called Desire Blue in which I'd say the smell is pleasant but not long-lasting like Individuel from Mont Blanc.

It costs me RM264. Looks like I'm pokai for once again this month... Pray for me that I'll strike Toto in months to come.

Anyway, Happy Fathers' Day to daddy dearest and love you lots, lots, lots more than you can ever imagine!
